Allright after two hours this is the best I came down to: It handles much better than stock in the corners, accelerates better, and doesn't drift at all. It does however still slide up the track when cornering at certain speeds.

This is a good base setting. I'm adjusting it to run Nurburgring . This is the first setup that didn't make me curse. I'll post it 2mr once I tweak it some more. I lowered it to the ground -20 and roll bar on 1

I just conquered the championship in Pro series (the last race) with a fully modded 09 Spec-V but didn't try these settings. I was fighting with nasty understeer the whole time. That car seriously sucks. Why is it like that? I'll try these settings tomorrow. IMO Skylines have only gotten worse. Give me an R32 GTR any day over a new GTR.

The car does suck. I wouldn't buy it if I could do it again

Well I dunno, I've been using this setup that Ununpentium posted in the other Spec V thread here and it corners like a beast:

Aerodynamics: R 15
Transmission: Top Speed 242
LSD: Initial F 10 R 10
Accel F 10 R 30
Braking F 10 R 40
Torqur Diff: F 15 R 85
Suspension: Ride Height F -16 R -13
Springs F 13.8 R 11.5
Damp(Ext) F 4 R 5
Damp(Comp) F 4 R 7
Sway Bars F 3 R 2
Camber F 1.4 R 1.3
Toe F 0.00 R 0.00
Brake Balance F 4 R 7

again, this is by ununpentium

What are you guys talking about understeer? My Spec-V doesnt understeer and its tuned to 856 HP at the moment running Sports Soft....

i tried both tunes mentioned in this post...
both are not my cup of tea
unu's is always spinning out and TC's understeers

@Rotary: Even at it's highest it doesn't really seem to have any negative effects
And as for understeer:The person I was tuning this for wanted to keep the essence of the car intact

I see... I didnt have time to post my settings last night... Shall I PM you my settings tonight? I have spent a few hours tuning it and as far as I can tell the understeer is practically gone. You are talking about a fully tuned maxed out Spec-V here right?

Post it for everyone please. I'll gift you mine. So you can drive it. CAN NOT get this car to turn. Hours of setup time and nothing. I drove my buddies skyline, it was so much better. Otherwise I'm done with this car.

Cool! I'll post the settings here... I'm home for sure tonight! 👍

The GTR V Spec 09' is my favorite car in the game so far. I have it tuned to 740 HP with all driving control options set to 0 except ABS to 1 and have beaten every single event where I can play with this car, even beaten GT cars like the Nissan Calsonic and the Amuse GT1 S2000. It handles extremely well, rarely oversteers or loses control when applying the brakes entering a curve and when accidently going over grass, just release the throttle and it'll recover easily without spinning. I'm doing laps around the SpeedRing in just under 1'2"294. Power is nothing without control, so definately need soft racing tires for this car.

Hey all!!

Thanks to everyone that is using my setup for this car.
I would have to say its a real B**ch to tune but i
have a new setup that i want folks to try.
After hours of test runs i believe ive come up with
some settings much better than the ones in my last post.
Just a couple things....

1) ive found that "not" transfering the majority of the torque
to the rear of this thing solves alot of issues. 40/60 is ideal
because i found that the front wheels actually work to "pull"
the car into the inside.

2) setting the LSD properly is crucial.

ok so enough babbling, here they are......

Aero 7 why?.... downforce in the rear causes understeer

Trans 242 top speed

LSD:
Initial 10/10
Accel 30/20
Braking 15/55

Torque Diff 40/60

Suspension:
Ride height -15/-10
Springs 13.5/14.5 why stiffer in the rear?.....it may sound funny but if you read the manual in the suspension section it says stiffer rear generates oversteer.....i thought they were kidding but apparently not...lolzzz!!!
Dampers(Ext) 6/6
Dampers(Comp) 5/5
Sway bars 2/2
Camber 2.0/0.5
Toe -0.10/-0.35

Brake Balance 4/6

There it is. Have fun. let me know how it goes. and feel free to make
your own tweaks to this.

not mine. Run it some where else. High speed ring the banking is helping you turn. Go rum it at Nurburgring.

Probably should mention this is for the GT Academy version :3
Also
Wheel Alignment
Camber:10.0F/8.0B
Toe:-1.00F/-0.77B
Lowering rear Camber to 6/7 and rear toe to -.80 makes it turn ever better :D

yes, this does work, works much better than your previous one,
thanks :)

I have a question, whats the main difference bewteen a fully tuned 07 Gt-R and a fully tuned spec-V?

I have the 07 and honestly, fully tuned with some tweaks here and there, its an animal. I keep up with the race cars in like the wind series and leave every super car behind. Even in online mode, messing about with some pretty serious drivers, they were impressed.

Of all the GT-R tunes I've tried, Ununpentium's is the best so far. I'm using High Speed Ring as the test track, and have recorded a 59.359 with it.

Thats kinda low for max speed. Your tuning has been perfect so far. I will give it try after I fully mod my GTR. Thx again Seoul.👍
