Anyone else got this car having issues with low speed understeer,

is there anybody who can help me get rid of this annoying issue?

Thanks

Just a guess, but worth a try: decrease the deceleration strength on the differential. If it's too strong the diff could be trying to hold those big, sticky rear tires at the same speed, making low-speed turning difficult.

I'll give this a go now, thanks for the help.

Seems like there's no options to change that in the LSD...

Huh... you can't change the LSD settings at all then? Normally the top should be the initial torque value, then the accel and finally decel on the bottom.

You could also try softening the front A/R bar.

Ya, there's every other option which you've mentioned apart from the deceleration setting, I've tried to lower the acceleration sensitivity, and increase front downforce. They helped a bit, I'll try to soften the anti roll bar as you've suggested too.

Thanks again

Guys.. I have the opposite problem with this car:

At low speeds, it has random urges to just kick the back end out under braking.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

The best tune for it is this.

Its a ****ing pile of crap. Not sure what car that is in the image, close enough i guess.

I am getting the understeer issue as well.
The LSD can not be adjusted in the front, however it can be adjusted in the back.
Rear LSD setting are at:
Initial Torque 10
Acceleration Sensitivity 40
Braking Sensitivity 20

edit2
Also, I dropped the front 4mm, front damper compression 7, front anti-roll to 5, and front toe to +.13.
It seems to be going in the right direction but it isn't quite there

edit3
I just bumped the front camber to 1.0, I'm sure it could go more but I ran a few different tracks and broke all my records with this set up. It wants to spin the outside tire before the understeer kicks in, it only understeers if I really try.

This is what I used for GT4 (thanks Fumes!), same principles should apply.

Down force = 63 / 88

Ride height: X / X + 4 X = depends on track
Spring rate: 14.8 / 15.8
Decompression = 7 / 7
Compression = 6 / 7
Stabilizers = 4 / 4

Camber = 2.5 / 1.0
Toe = 0 / 0

Brake balance = 6 / 5

Initial torque = 10
Acceleration = 40
Deceleration = 9

TCS = as low as you feel comfortable with

Any one try these tuning specs? I'm in the middle of the Gran Turismo All Stars championship and haven't been able to tune the understeer haha dont want to lose this championship

I've only used the Minolta for the Indy course in Like The Wind, but I've noticed more oversteer than understeer. Pretty much circling the whole track at 230~ mph, never let go of the accelerator once. Let me know if it works for you.

Won GT: All Stars with this setup slightly altered because there are differences between the 2 games. i also had all the avaible upgrades with the chassis reinforcement. i would lower the front roll bar and raise rear a little more

can you share me the setup? what does X / X + 4 X mean?
thanks :)

Crap, my spaces didn't carry over in the post, sorry!

Basically, the guy above me got it right. The rear should be raked 4 mm higher than the front for both breaking and to help the rear pivot.

thanks..
I'll give it a try..
and what is the effect of lower/higher height to the car?

Lower height = Lower center of gravity, better aerodynamically around turns and on long straights

Higher height = Better for bumpy tracks, (like the 'Ring with elevation changes)

Don't forget about suspension travel.

Have a ride height too low, and the suspension may not have enough room to actually 'work' as they are intended. Also, if you're going to set your ride height low, you need to raise your spring rates so they don't bottom out.

Thanks for the tune, I used this for my B-Spec driver on the extreme events. With the car stock the driver(s) were only able to achieve 2nd place with a little help from me. After using this tune I was able to get back to work and just let them race. They took gold in all 3 races.

The adjustments that I made to the tune are in bold above. The B-Spec drivers have to used RH tires so I am sure that this car will handle even better on soft of medium tires.

Great set-up! I just had to thank you !
Came 4th max with my own set-up and with this one im first after 3 corners (b-spec)
Thanx :)
