This is a thread that I wanted to create for a long time and I'm still not sure it's a good thing to do so but I have had many questions about grammar, spelling, text style, vocabulary, proverbs etc... .
I was just reading this thread ( https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=141831) and thought of starting this one after all.
This thread is created for me personally
because I always seem to have questions about the English language that I can't ask anywere, unless I PM someone, which I sometimes did a few years ago.

What is the correct proverb if I want to say that I don't want to suck up to certain people, so they think highly of me?
