GT5 dirty car pics

Pretty hard to tell if this is dirt or scratches, what would you say it is?

Did this feature actually make it into the final game ? I have driven like 5000 miles and have not noticed dirt on any of my cars :/

I'm certain dirt does accumulate, I may be imagining it but my Corvette which I use for grinding purposes is gathering a thin layer of dust on the back

The Ford GT40 that is white, Spec II or something it is called will get Really good Coat of dirt through a Endurance, It really makes me question if thats one of the cars that will get the Upgrade to Premium.

All the LM race cars i have tried have gotten their rears really dusty/dirty. R92CP Race Car, Minolta 88C-V, XJR-9, GT-ONE.

It seems like there is only a certain amount of dirt that will carry itself outside of a race, but some cars will get really really dirty like that Ford GT40 spec II whatever if you put em in a good long enduro.

Here is audi I made a lot races in, as you can see its just got started from the grid and its dirty! Never woshed it, and never changed oil, and not intending to do it!

this is NOT my picture but i found it in some thread a WHILE ago... he has dirt on his car clearly unless this is some sort of special paint which i highly doubt lol... i wonder how the dirt system works then!

Dirt does not accumulate over time permanently, but during the race it does accumulate

As DDL8 pointed out, dirt will carry over to the next race. I use my Furai to train new Bobs, as you can see they've gone off-track a few times and applied a nice patina to the car. This is me in practice (standard car, so no photo travel). I haven't even completed one lap yet here:

I think the wing was originally pure black. And no, I'm never going to the car wash again, and I won't with many of my cars.

Haha alright so I am proved wrong, BUT the accumulation is accelerated per race. I'm curious to know how many miles your Furai has to look like that

I think you're right about that. I've noticed that tires and such get dirty when you go off into the grass, then clean up a bit by the next turn or two. And as far as I know, body damage does not carry over to the next race. Too bad, that! Also, the dirt doesn't show up in the garage showroom.

My Furai has 1318km (2120mi) in those pics, but it's had nearly all that dirt for roughly half of that mileage. It's never been on a dirt track, but has been on Suzuka in the rain, and off-track in the weeds a lot.

EDIT: My 'Vette ZR1 RM has 1,761km of racing, going off track occasionally, and in the rain. It accumulates some dust on the rear bumper/valance during most races, but starts every race spic-and-span :(. So, I think we're both right, but it seems to depend on the car.

Yesterday, my Bob raced the Dream Car Championchip (last championchip in extreme series) with the Sauber C9.

At Monza, it was raining the whole race and I the first time, how the car accumulates dirt. It was noticeable after just 6 laps and after 12 laps you could clearly see it.

My Bob didn´t crash or scratches any walls, just pushed a car at first chicane, why you can see the dent at the front. So it seems to happen very fast while rain, whereas at dry weather it needs a lot time.
