Mercedes SLS AMG '10
Nürburgring Nordschleife
Game Mode:
- Special Events > AMG Driving Academy > Intermediate
- Nürburgring Nordschleife
- Sectors 2 & 3 (Run the Individual Sectors Separately. Your Submission = Sector 2 Time + Sector 3 Time. Do not run the full lap event).
Stewards Comment:
If you don't currently have a GTP_Account, and you are concerned about the need to level up for this event, the seasonal events provide a great opportunity to level up quickly and earn some significant experience points and credits. Since the seasonal events have expiration dates, and new events continue to appear, I'm not posting specifics here. But a quick read through the discussion thread will give you some additional pointers from our members.

OLR Rules:
Standard clean OLR rules apply:

- In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
- If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
- Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
- No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
- If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
- No hybrids
- No cheating of any kind
- Nothing that goes against the spirit of the game
- Anything we haven’t thought of that could be construed as cheating
- Save your replay and keep it safe for at least 6 weeks after the deadline
Race Specifics:
All Hard Surfaces are track. This includes rumble strips, concrete, cobbles, etc.
Qualifier Rules:
- The qualifier MUST be run using your GTP_Tag Account
- Do not discuss privately or post publicly any of your splits or final times, or anything relating to this qualifier that would indicate a sector time or a full lap time. By taking part in this qualifier you therefore agree to this very strict ruling
- The use of the clutch that is found on the G25, G27, and other high end racing wheels is strictly prohibited.
- All registered GTP_Registry members must complete this qualifier to remain on the GTP_Registry
Submission:
All submissions must be sent to the WRSFetchBot via PM:
- The WRSFetchbot is only a bot to help us admins reduce our workload. Read and follow the instructions below exactly as otherwise your PM will get refused by the Fetchbot.
- You can submit only ONCE (be sure to give it your best effort)
- Please give it your best effort as sandbagging is highly frowned upon in the GTP OLR community. It would be greatly appreciated by all GTP Race Admins and participants if you would dedicate at least as much time to the qualifier as you would to a regular WRS event.
- Please include in your PM, your GTP_Registry PSN ID, your location (Country) and all 3 times -
- Sector 2 Time, Sector 3 Time and Total Time (Sector 2 + Sector 3 (Timecalculator link))
- Submit your time, on a single line, in the following format:
- User: [GTPlanet ID] PSN: [PSN ID] Country: [Country] Time: [Total time] Split: [Time 1] Split: [Time 2]
eg:
User: EDK PSN: GTP_EDK Country: USA Time: 6'30.153 Split: 2'58.388 Split: 3'31.765 - Please name the PM subject title GTP_WRS Registration.
Your division will be determined by your lap time submission. Please allow for 2-4 weeks from time of submission for your entry to be categorized. Feel free to post in the weekly race threads while you wait for your qualifier to be processed. However, you will not appear in the Splits Leaderboard, and the FetchBot will not accept a submitted laptime until you have been added to the registry.
Keep an eye on this thread to see your division placement.
Please refer to the Leaderboard Time Calculator to properly add your two sector times together before submitting your time.
This is a friendly competition open to drivers of all abilities, so start racing and we'll see you in the results 👍
Time Verification:
Your replay will have to be provided:
- Once you submit your times, you will be contacted via PM to supply you with all the relevant information you need in order to carry out the request.
- You can prepare your replay using this guide.
- The concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days after recieving the PM mentioned above.
- Failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration.
Race Stewards Comments:
The aim of this qualifier is to create divisions within the GTP_Registry specific to GT5.
We intend to keep the qualifier open most of the time, but it may need to close from time to time if we get too busy with the WRS or with life.
If you have any questions, please post them in The Official GTP Registry Discussion thread.
Required GTP_PSN Name Tag Format:
All registered GTP_PSN ID's must follow the required format:
GTP_YourName.
For example, a registered GTP_PSN ID is 'GTP_Sphinx'.
There is no requirement for you to use your GTP forum username within the GTP_PSN ID.
Creating a PSN Account:
Follow this link to create a PSN account via the World Wide Web, or alternatively create one via your PS3:

What Happens Next?:
Your division will be determined by your lap time submission. Please allow for 2-4 weeks from time of submission for your entry to be categorized. Feel free to post in the weekly race threads while you wait for your qualifier to be processed. However, you will not appear in the Splits Leaderboard, and the FetchBot will not accept a submitted laptime until you have been added to the registry.
Keep an eye on this thread to see your division placement.
What Happens if My Registration is Refused?:
In the unfortunate and unlikely event of being refused entry onto the register there is another method of entry. The second method of entry has been put in place to eliminate any chance of being wrongly labelled as a bad driver in the past.
In order to secure entry onto the register after being refused, you will then have to acquire two guarantors who are already registered on the PSN registry to vouch for you. Once this has been achieved, then your entry onto the registry will be reassessed in a fair and unbiased manner.
Explanation of the Division System:
The GTP_WRS (Weekly Race Series https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=117) will contain multiple divisions, with division 1 being the highest division. Each division will be subdivided in a gold, silver and bronze category.
Based on the time run in the qualifying race, a player is placed in the corresponding division and category. This way players can compare themselves to other players with a similar level of play, without having to feel to be participating just to fill up the results.
Since the result of the qualifying race is only a random indication, players might be promoted when the result of the qualifying doesn't display the actual level of play of the driver or in case the driver shows an apparent improvement in level of play.
Only the Racing Admins will decide if a player is eligible for a promotion, on the condition that the player takes part on a regular basis and shows to be able to maintain that higher level of play for multiple weeks.
Terms & Conditions of Registration:
When applying to register, you hereby agree to the following terms & conditions:
- You agree to abide by the GTP Rules & Guidelines: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111241
- Only one registered GTP PSN ID per GTP member
- Anyone found, or attempting to have more than one registered GTP PSN ID will be excluded from all approved GTP events and removed from the official GTP PSN Registry.
- By registering you agree to abide to all race rules & driving standards laid out by the hosts of all GTP approved race events.
- When using your official GTP PSN registered ID in public or private races outside of GTP's control, it is expected that you race to the standard that is deemed acceptable by the hosts of the given event.
- While GTP have a specific code of conduct for appropriate online gaming behaviour for our authorised "GTP" tag users to follow, we however have no control of any usage of the "GTP" tag by any person who owns a copy of the software and participate in online events. As such, all "GTP" tagged players who participate in any public or private online events should not by default be considered as an authorised "GTP" tag user, and GTP will in no way be responsible for any misconduct by anyone that uses a "GTP" tag if their player name does not appear in the Official GTP PSN Registry.
- You agree not to do anything that can be construed as going against the spirit of the game, either here at the GTP or anywhere outside the domain of GTP.
- The Race Admins will evaluate the registration of a player, after having been disqualified from a race for the third time, and subsequently have the right to disqualify this player from the GTP Registry in case they consider legitimate.
- Flagrant violations of the GTP Online Racing Rules & Guidelines may result in exclusion from the GTP Registry.
- Most importantly, you are expected to have fun.
Good luck. 👍
