Hi,

Because i was 2 weeks off from work i decided to make a wheelstand by my own.
First my brother and i had some brianstorming and then we decided to make 2 of theme.
We were inspired by the wheelstand pro his adjustibility and the looks and solidity of the rennsport, so we simple combined the 2 products and went out for shopping.

This is our result so far...........

On the top pipe/bar there will be a piece of plywood attached with bolts.
The hole thing is very stable and fully adjustable and easy to stall.
The total cost was about 80 euro's and this was somethiong more then was calculated, but it will do the trick .

Good idea. I think you might end up weighting it down a bit once the FFB kicks in? Was wondering where you got the tube and fittings from. Im in the UK so if your local id like to know.

Yea im 37 and not very good at the Internet...I quoted the post basicly...Whats up with that im not hosting them or anything...;)

You're making everyone looking at this thread, scroll through 2 sets of numerous pictures.
Edit your thread and remove the pictures please. It's common courtesy.

Like my brother said we made 2 of a kind :) and i want to share also my setup.
So a couple of days ago i received my first wheel ever!!!, which is the Fanatec carrera :).
I had a lower budget then my older brother so hes still waiting for the review of the thrusmaster T500 or hes getting the fanatec GT3RS.

Well i finally got GT5 for Xmas (from my girlfriend) :P and my wheelstand was almost ready. Now for the time being i made a ugly simple piece of plywood attached with bolts, of course i have to make a solid solution for my gear, the fanatec solution is just terrible.

Well here are my pictures with the carrera mounted on my wheelstand.

Well i knew the adjustability would be awesome, but that it would be this solide with FFB even surpass my expectations.
For me i think it's just the right weight which explains why it´s very stable, but not to heavy to move around when u want it too. :)

Nice build! Do you have a parts list and where you bought them at?

Well we are from the Netherlands, we found this parts at the local DIY (we call the store "Praxis")

Thanks for your reply's

Hi,

heej little brother:P thats a very nice wheelstand you have there:cheers:.
I'm glad that it surpass our expentations and it really feels very solid when playing.
Now we still need to construct a solution for that wobbling shifter because thats very annoying:ouch:.
The first pic of your post will do the trick and is inexpensive:tup:, but i really like to construct something that is more adjustable.

interesting and nice, but ultimately the cost saving isn't convincing esp if you factor in your time. would have just bought the stands new which seem to have a better finish and easier to adjust - just my 2 cents

Hi,

If you factor in your time then the hole Diy is useless to me:tdown:.
But i saved 90 euro's and i think thats alot of money.
But i understand your point.

Well Thanks anyway. Our DIY stores dont have anything like that. That stuff looks kinda specialist from a UK point of veiw. What are the fittings / Tube actually supposted to be used for? Maybee if I know the application I might be able to find some one in England.

Thanks
