Thanks, guys! Yep, Flying Lizard is entering a prototype for the 24 Hour. They didn't have the quickest car at the Roar but I'm sure they'll be able to get up to pace by the end of the month. They had a great showing last year with their GT car.

I shoot with a Nikon D40 and Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR lens but I've put in an order for a Nikon D7000 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII lens. The camera is still on backorder so I probably won't have it until March.

Awesome shots! I was there last year, and conditions were horrid, I think I'll sit it out this year due to what I went through last year, but I really wanted to go to the Fresh From Florida 200, I just can't get off for it.

Are the numbers and decals illuminated on the sides of the cars, or is it just reflective graphics? I don't think I've ever noticed that on GA cars before.

Where were you shooting from the Fanzone? Man those are great! 👍

Yeah, last year's weather was miserable for both the Roar and the race itself. That was the first time I had driven in sleet. But I actually enjoy shooting in those conditions so I'll be there rain or shine. I don't have photographer credentials, so I'm shooting from behind (well slightly above) the fences like any other fan.

The Lizard lights up when you use a flash due to the reflective wrap (same with their GT2 Porsches in ALMS). Some of the other cars use it too, like the SunTrust Racing DP.

what amazes me most is that you don't have photog credentials, yet your pics are amazing. The Brumos Porsche and both protos running together at night are insane. Really, I do admire you.

Thanks, Cano! I'm hoping that some day I'll be accredited since a couple of sites that I allow to use my pictures have offered to get me credentials. From what I understand, it's not an easy process if you weren't previously accredited. I've only been into photography (at least with a DSLR) for two years so it's not a huge deal that I don't have accreditation yet...it's just fun being at the track doing something I really enjoy.

yeah, I get you, I also love going to track events just so I can shoot a car or two... it's a pity we don't have cool racing series like over there, this country is like forgotten by God when it comes to motorsports.

And btw, you are pretty much welcome, Gran Turismo or not, bud (:
