Managed 2nd place all stock, so I guess an tyre upgrade will do the trick.... Looks easy enough, so perhaps sports hard should make it a good race.

I agree with using stock/Sports Hards in this event, gives you enough of a challenge to have to study the AI driving patterns and improve track skills.

I try to stick to the tires that the AI uses. Completely stock with just an oil change, I came 2nd but nearly 20 seconds behind the Silvia. I upped the HP to 192 (using the cheapest mods like racing air filter), kept the comfort tires, tried again, and was within 4 seconds of the lead car. A little more HP should do the trick.

I must be having one of my dumb days today :dunce: How do you know which tyres the AI is using?

This car is very compatible with me. It made me actually like driving Tsukuba again. I even got the 'human stopwatch' trophy here :)

Sadly I made a mistake overtaking a/the mini and ended up about a tenth of a second behind the second place car.

I am thinking about keeping the tyres stock and adding a bit more power to the car as I think that would be more fun than using other tyres.
Any thoughts?

In the replay you can switch to the AI cars and see their tyres. Something you either know or don't, has nothing to do with being dumb :)

I totally fell in love with this track, using this car, in this seasonal challenge, same with all challenges, for I knew virtually no tracks at all, except for the Laguna Seca, which I loved since Indy Car Racing, from the good ol days of 80486-25MHz.

What I now do to learn a track, is start alone in practice mode, and drive granny slow for the first 2 or 3 laps, learning each curve, then by the 3rd or 5th lap, it magically becomes all too familiar, and before you know it, you will come to love both track and car you are driving! Trial Mountain and Nissan 350 Sedan SP, felt like the good ol days of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit! (original)

I don't remember my car setup, but I average 1:01, using Logitech G25.

@aaronbee2010

To fix understeer on this car is easy. Stiffen up your rear sway bar to max and loosen the front completely. The rest of your tuning looks okay; it's not exactly the same as mine, but close enough.

The car will handle like a champ afterwards.

And after the 4 hours endurance race you will be happy to have it done! Just did it today... 233 laps :banghead:

What are the specs on the top Silvia K's Dia Selection? I watched the replay and he can accelerate slightly faster than my mx-x with an oil change and sport flywheel. I need to find 2 seconds a lap to catch up though..
