Had an online race yesterday and a weird thing happened. I entered a pitstop about 5 seconds ahead of another car, which then proceeded to pit right in front of me. I didn't put any fuel into the car, so pitstop should've been done 5 seconds earlier, and it was. However, my car refused to move until the crew right in front of me was done and released the other car.

Anybody had a similar pitstop? Any idea what is it about? Safety? I'm at loss.
Might post a video later if I have time to record it.

it's not just that, if you're on your way to leave the pit lane and there's a car in front of you that's reaching its box you'll get slowed down til they stop.

Glitchy coding is glitchy.

^ source of info?
I might've been over that, but barely, since this is Deep Forest, and the pit entrance is narrow and on the inside of a sharp turn. Also the car right behind me probably (didn't check) was also doing more than that.

I was "frozen" in the pits at Daytona road. The entrance at Daytona is wierd. You can enter the pits at 250 km/h. But the the screen get black, and suddenly, your car is moved a couple of feet to the side and the speed is lowered in an instand to 80 km/h. When you have changed your tyres, the car will sit in the pits for about 10-15 seconds extra.. And any driver that reach the pits just after you, will leave before you. 👎

Pitting also takes longer if you have damage.

However what you showed there was none of the above suggestions. Your car left the box and was ready to race. It was bob who slowed right down as to not crash into the car infront. You should of exited as normal, forcing the lolly pop man infront to hold his car till you had passed.

Very strange

The glitch I just experienced was when I entered the pit lane the option box disappeared, has this happened to anyone else?

I pretty much had all of the above all in one pitstop :ouch:

I was leading the race, came into the pits at Laguna Seca which is a 90º left hand entrance. I tried to slow down so as not to smash the wall as I came in, but the 2nd place driver coming in behind me didn't slow down as much. I yanked the handbrake to just barely make the turn at the last second, and then I got hit by the 2nd place driver.
Just as this happened, the auto-pilot took over and the 2nd place driver appeared in front of me. On top of that, the option window for fuel and tires appeared only for a second, and then I came out of the pit several seconds behind the former 2nd place driver

Pretty much a disastrous pit stop if you ask me!

^ Yeah, pitting @ Laguna Seca is even weirder.

don't have a video, I personally was held for a few extra seconds just like in the video above, even though I slowed down quite a bit and didn't hit the wall. Another driver (incidentally the one that overtook me in the video above), did hit the wall a bit, and then experienced a 'reset', ending up at the beginning of the pit lane after making it into pits for a couple of car lengths. And after that he got held over for a few seconds and stayed transparent for the rest of the race (had penalties set on).

There should be a pit lane limiter that you have to slow down and press a button like in real racing and F1 games. If you don't you get a drive through.

Tried a few cars @Indy. Couldn't find a definite speed threshold, but it seemed that higher than 160-170mph I'd almost always get a penalty and a jerky 'reset' when entering the pits. In the 160-170mph range it's sporadic. Sometimes no 'resets' but a 6-7 second delay, like in the video, sometimes no delay or any other crap.
