Absolutely, hands down, no question, unequivocally, one of THE best bands ever, ever, ever!! I saw them in Worcester about 3years ago at the Rock n' Shock music festival...OMFG what a show! My ears were ringing for 4 days after the show. One of the best shows I've ever seen, ever. Thank you for making this thread! Wow, what are the odds...obZen is actually playing as I'm typing this!

Meh. Metal just isn't my thing. And surely super heavy metal isn't my thing. I could hardly get a minute into the videos. Gave me a headache.

Metal just doesn't do it for me. I don't exactly think they should take up a new profession but "meh, they're okay" seems a bit too generous.

"extreme metal" Ya, ok I guess but that is so broad its not even funny. What ever the point is they have more talent in one little chord then 99.99% of music artist in the past 15 or so years. I made that up but its probably true. Meshuggah is the kind of stuff that should be played at the Grammys to show everyone that good music is still made today. You don't have to like Metal to appreciate the musicianship that they display.

Songs as if they were written for an encyclopedia entry. Amazing.
These songs required alot of thought, and, as a guitarist, would of also took a lot of trail and error for the sound they make to be perfect.
Check the solo on the song, and tell me that it was just a coincidence that it sounds like it does.
However I'd undesrtand if this isn't your type of music.
I think the vocals are fine, its more like a chant then a 'scream'. Atleast it isn't the crappy ear-rape scream that core bands do, you know what I mean? lol
