Under Maintenance?

I've been trying for an hour to sign into GT5 My Home on the GB part of gran-turismo.com without success.

I had to look up my sign-in details to check that I was actually using the right password... and I was.

Eventually I got an 'Under Maintenance' message. Is anyone else seeing this or is it a default site reaction to some kind of timeout in my own connection?

The german part works.
Maybe try it with the US homepage?

Also had a lot of maintenance messages.

Try the us site, that works for me.

Very scary!

I've just signed in at the US side and it says my ID is AbductedSnowman and seems to show someone else's friend list and account details!

I'm pretty new to PSN... is the security really that bad?

EDIT: Signed out and back in... it now sees me as TenEightyOne! Thanks guys

Had that earlier, managed to sort it my closing the browser window completely and starting again, as for the security, i normally find it ok, don't know what's gone on there :crazy:

Hmmmm, I have this Maintenance notice here too. I just tried twice, no go. Maybe your second attempt was after your server came good again.

I'm going to wait an hour or two and have another look.

Have you tried completely closing your browser and trying again after restarting? I was trying for ages earlier using refresh and it was only after shutting the window completely that i got it to work

Yeah mate, tried closing and opening again, earlier, and again just now.

If it's not up soon I may restart the PC to see if that helps.

EDIT: Finally got going nearly 2 hours later. It just logged in straightaway *shrug*

EDIT: Hosted 5 or so race, hosted another a couple hours later, then just now when I got another chance "UNDER MAINTENANCE". I hope it isn't always like this.

Anyone else, particularly Eastern Australia, having a lot of trouble logging on to gran-turismo.com?

I was hosting fine the last few days. Hosted a few today with some trouble mentioned in the OP. But the site won't even begin to load for the last few hours.

At won't point it was a FULL PAGE "under maintenance" but I managed to host a race 10 mins later. Now it's been nothing but a blank white page for 2 hours. :grumpy:

Apologies to NH4Wheel and Stuawalt. I just haven't been able to log on. :guilty:

I think the 'Maintenance' page is just what pops up whenever it fails to load.

Guess it's busy with remote racing, shouldn't people be working instead of remote racing? :lol:

Its been happening to me quite a bit, i'm guessing there are a lot of us out there remote racing and heavy traffic means slow speeds i'm thinking the servers just can't handle anymore when you get the maintainance message so i guess its just keep trying :guilty:

Annoying because I want to host Bob's of people who've been hosting me, including some new contacts from this very sub-forum 👍

This. Last time I got that, I just refreshed and it worked.

Seems intermittent for me too. Waited a while refreshed and the under maintenance message was gone. Seems Sony unexpected the load levels while people we're at work.

It has been a few times that that "Maintenance Error" happend today, also sometimes realy slow website.
Also when the race is running a popup with "400 error, Job :8" happens quite alot.
And when the race finished it can take a few minutes that the drivers are flagged as available again.

Got the Maintenance error too a couple of times today, both on the Dutch as well at the English version of the site, usually after a little while it was fine again.

Seems indeed this is more linked to an overload then to "Maintenance". We will have to see if people get less fanatic or if PD invests in more capacity.

I've had this a fair bit too. Just jumped into my first remote race this morning. So far, so good.

Yup, been getting it the whole morning while remote racing. Pretty annoying.

I was getting the issue on the uk site today so I just jumped back to the country page & selected us instead. Worked fine for me.
