Difference in replays from same race?

I was participating in an online championship race earlier today. A driver and me had an incident where I caught damage and had to pit. We were talking about the incident after the race and were strangely discussing whether I was damaged or not. The race had damage settings on heavy.

So, the discussion was strange because;
In my replay of the race, the overview of the car (with the tire wear indicators) showed one of my wheels with damage after the incident. But when he looks at his replay, the overview doesn't show any damage on my car.

Damaged or not, is another discussion, but he found out that there wasn't showing any damage in his replay of my car at that very moment.

So want to ask if anyone else been having this replay issue? Seems very strange if it isn't possible to see each others damage indicators in different replay of the same race. But before getting to conclusions, have anyone noticed this bug/error?

Here is two images of both replay versions, the first not showing damage to the rear left wheel

And the second replay showing damage on the rear left wheel

Yes it is a bug I have seen it before. Likely caused by lag. In the pre-season WSGTC Le Mans GT300 race, my replay was showing the leader with engine damage plus damage on all 4 corners, yet he was running happily and setting fastest laps. Obviously a bug.

For 5 laps I was seeing one car in front of me constantly fly through grass, spinning, stopped in the middle of the road, etc...Pretty sure my PS3 saw this rogue car hit the leader at some point and showed damage although he really had none. Yet another example of poor programming by Polyphony.

Thanks for the reply, nice to get it confirmed 👍

Yes, this is a bit sad, makes it a pain and difficult to discus a contact incident. I don't know if it because of lag, don't think we experienced any, but it might have been significant enough to cause the difference in the replays. Hmm, if only PD reads this... But I won't hold my breath, hehe.

Wow nice evidence. I have seen it happen before. Last night I raced with a guy who was bouncing all over the place: that intermittent teleportation bouncing (I suspect from wireless). Anyways he passed me and was far ahead of me and then I saw him get pushed forward off the track and he said I rammed him from the rear. I could tell that I must have hit him on his screen, but it never happened on mine. On my screen they were further away from me than on their screen because their upload was not good enough and my PS3 had to do more predicting of where their car was and was going. If there is a collision between two cars and one of them is seen as having eratic movement by more than one person (which shows it is their connection), that eratic car is often at fault, even if they were hit in the rear.

YES!
look at the bumpers of the last two cars... they really hadn't any damage like in the 2nd pic...
