Decided to try and make a 2012 Boss Mustang replica last night and this is close as I could get. Comfort softs might be more in line with what the real car has, only because I was able to match the real cars Laguna Seca lap record after only a couple laps on Sport Hard tires. Only major problem with this re-creation is it does not rev to 7,500 RPM like the real car. :indiff:

Purchase:

  • Sport Hard Tires (or leave Comfort Soft)
  • Height Adjustable Sport Suspension
  • Fully Customizable Transmission
  • Sport Catalytic Converter
  • Sports intake Manifold
  • Sports Air Filter
  • ECU Tuning
  • Stage 2 Engine Tuning
  • Chassis Reinforcement
  • Oil Change
  • Front Splitter from GT Auto

Tuning:
For suspension tuning I just guessed, except for the ride height which I had found published numbers for. Transmission and rear end ratios are from Ford's Official Tech Sheet which can be found on google, or I can email it to you if you'd like. Weight and Power adjustments were made to make those particular specs match the real car.

Brakes (Unofficial)
Front : 6 / Rear : 4

Ride Height (Official numbers from Ford)
Front : -10 / Rear : -1
Spring Rate (kgf/mm) (Unofficial)
Front : 8.5 / Rear : 7.0
Dampers (Adjustable on real car)
Front : 3 / Rear : 3
Camber Angle (-) (Unofficial)
Front : 1.8 / Rear : 0.0

Transmission (Official numbers from Ford)
  1. 3.66
  2. 2.43
  3. 1.69
  4. 1.32
  5. 1.00
  6. .65
Final Drive : 3.73
Top Speed : 199 MPH (ADJUST THIS FIRST!)

Engine
Power Limiter 92.4% (444 HP)

Body/Chassis (1,647kg - Official from Ford)
Weight Adjustment (Ballast) +17kg / Position +10 (Estimate)

Have fun! :dopey:

You could probably get more revs out of it by ditching the sports air filter for a higher level exhaust; I doubt it'll be the full 7500 but it'll be closer.

Massive wheelspin...like a boss. :D

I might try this later.

Pretty sure the only thing that raises rev limit is stage 3 engine. Id just install that as well.

You'd be wrong then.

I'm not positive on what each engine stage changes but each level of exhaust above stock is 100rpm added to the limiter (300rpm for racing), the sports cat adds 100rpm, and the ECU adds 300. So all that on its own gives 700rpm to the limiter... And I *think* engine tuning is 100rpm/stage.

Thanks for the info guys, updated rear camber to Zero. I'm going to try the stage 3 engine tune later today.

Adding a bunch of other power mods then re-limiting the car didn't add any additional RPM. Or so little I didn't notice it. And I did get my Laguna time down to a 39.5, so Comfort Softs might be more in line, but you have to keep a very gentle right foot.

i tried this mines blaze silver i think....its pretty close to the ingot silver on the laguna seca model but however i cannot for the life of me get the 4th gear to that ratio any suggestions?
