After I bought my DFGT, I decided to make my own seat for the tiny space I play in. I think it succeed for a low price: €65 include the seat.
What do you think. Any suggestions for updates? (I'm only 16 years old, so I can't afford expensive things like a buttkicker).
Sorry for the crappy pics...

As you can see I added some shifter paddles on my wheel.

looks decent to me,, functional and like you said, cheap... nice seat as well.... I built a fairly elaborate setup for mine, but only cause I had all the steel kicking around and own a welder, etc... but if I was starting from scratch without all the stuff I had already, I'd end up with something very similar to what you have,, great job man

I added the shifter paddles with some tyrips. I can move the paddles a bit, but when you drive you don´t have any problems with it.:)

hi you get get an idea of my custom cockpit.it didt cost me a lot.just need patient time and a little bit of fantasy.if you are interested i can send you step by step pics of my cockpit.

looks pretty good, but I don´t really like the red. I prefer black.

BTW, today I´m going to buy an amp for my Bass-shaker. It will be a Lepai. Not a very big one, but it's enough for the shaker I hope.

I also got some plans for the future of my cockpit. I made a model of it and I will upload that later..:)

UPDATE:

Did some things to make my cockpit a bit better:
- I installed a Bass Shaker with an AMP.
- Paited it completely black (except for the handbrake, but that will be paited later)
- made an handbrake that works with GT5

I also did some great audio updates. Now, I have 4 powerful speakers and 3 Subs.

I'm really happy with the result, any suggestions for the future?

Looking great! Looks like a fantastic cockpit! How did you wire up the handbrake?

I didn´t! if I use the brake, it just presses the L1 button of my ps3 controller.
If you use that, no wires are needed, but you can´t use it with other games like TDU2 or Dirt 3. that´s because those games do not support multiple controllers:crazy:.

This week I made the new base for the seat. I think it looks pretty well. While building it I thought of adding a subwoofer into the base, so I did that. You can see it on the picture.
I also used some isolators to reduce the vibrations over the cockpit and max. the vibrations in the seat. :)

As you can see the pic is a bit dark, because I didn't have a good camera. Sorry for that:guilty:

Here's mine I modified from an old 4-shelf Entertainment stand.

I can conceal it in my 2nd room closet:idea:

I had to reenforce it with some brackets and 2x4's but it works well. I use the c-clamps to adjust the reach, either for different sized drivers or for other wheels.

If possible, why not add a Logitech G27 Wheel System so you can use a clutch and a H-pattern gearbox? you can refer to Chilicoke.com to find out how to attach the handbrake.

That is what I did with my Racing Frame I built for my major works for school (NOT including the handbrake).
