Posted in the other thread by me...

For some reason braking (GT3rs CSP) is very very bad. I've checked the brakes on my PC and they are fine.

The GTR in the very first event was horrible. My Alfa is not quite as bad, something feels VERY wrong.

I keep getting the friggin controller disconnect message too.

DON'T THEY TESG THESE GAMES!!!!!!!

Using ISR's setting verbatim, brakes were bad before setting were applied.

^^ Hmmm, that doesn't sound good. Is it possible that the brakes are just less effective than whatever else you have been playing, eg. GT5 ? In other words have you tried with a DS3 and verified that the car will stop much faster than with the CSP ?

@Dave : I was looking at the description of the various in-game wheel settings listed in the G27 wheel settings thread and came across the following for the Brake Sensitivity :

Note: For Brake Pedal sensitivity at 50%. This is just a baseline. Here your personal preference is what matters most. By decreasing this value you are making the upper portion of the pedal stroke less responsive and the lower portion of the stroke more responsive. So ideally a lower value here is desired because it would be similar to a brake pedal on a real car.

The ISR video suggested 10% for this value so maybe you should try increasing it.

Edit: The more I look at it, those ISR settings do not make a lot of sense. Assuming AWDwhite_2g has the description correct, the Brake Sensitivity setting of 10% would result in very little braking until the pedal was almost fully depressed. OK - fair enough if that is your preference, but what gets me is that ISR also suggest an on-wheel ABS setting of 54 which would result in activating the ABS vibration motor WAY before you reach anything close to full brake. This seems very weird to me. Once I get my copy of the game I'll do some of my own testing and let you know if I can confirm any of this or come up with better settings. For now I suggest taking a look at AWDwhite's thread re the G27 settings......

Thanks Goober! I'll give that a try tomorrow. Yes skubaben, I have CSP and I used the ISR settings exactly as they did. I'm going to swing up to 75%. The very first race with the GTR is when I first noticed the lack of braking force.

Seeing the AI driver flailing his hands about is pretty distracting.

Whats your YT name? Or just post a link to your channel if you like.

Or start a new thread for YT videos. Jordan needs to open the new board.
