B-Spec drivers refuse to run on wets...

I'm running the 1000km endurance race at Suzuka right now and it has been pouring rain nonstop since the start. I started my car on wets and walked away for about 40 minutes. When I came back I saw that my second driver was in and that he was on slicks. I brought him in for more wets, leaving the driver in the car. Two minutes later I look over at the screen and the pit indicator light is on, so I turn it off, a few minutes later it is on again. Eventually I realized that every time the car crosses the start/finish line the indicator resets and my driver will try to come back in for slicks. And its not just my driver, the entire field is on slicks, and they are sliding off at every corner. Theres even a car thats wedged itself into the tires beyond the chicane, but been stuck there for nearly an hour.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Im only 2 hours into what I figure to be an 8.5-9 hour race. Has anybody else had this problem and know of a solution?

I'm laughing so hard I'm practically in tears your description of events is so funny.

But I don't see any replies.
Sorry but I'm not even close to tackling this yet... so I have no idea what the answer is. I sure hope someone else does though before I try this!

I had the same problem, its not just at Suzuka, it also happens on FGT races and some other race in wet wheres all the AI don't even change tires at the beginning then they realized it after turning in a really slow lap, then they change to wet, but after 5 laps they change it back to slick but its still raining, and thats when my guy want to change tire too! So I had to keep him out of the pit every lap and watch all the AIs spinning out of control in the corners. I think its something they need to fix, its too easy to win the wet races.

What are intermediate tires for??
I've never used them yet, but I'm not very far along in the game. I haven't completed my Aspec professional yet. Just did the supercar festival today. My bf's never used them either, and he's finished the professional section, some of the expert, & most of the special events.

My bf tells me that in formula races & it starts raining, they start talking about watching which driver's going to decide to come in 1st to change to wet tires, because if a driver is good enough, they can get better time in slicks IF they can stand it, so they stay out on slicks as long as they can.

So I think the AI drivers (including our bspecs) have a case of the arrogant false confidence. LOL. No offense to anyone else's b-spec drivers... but after seeing my bf's lvl 26 bspec spinning around on his comfort softs in a lotus on the british lightweights race... I'm sure I wouldn't trust my bspec in an endurance race in the rain on racing tires. haha

I have the same issue. Luckily if your bob uses the wrong tires, it means that the rest of the drivers are using the wrong ones too.

In light rains by that I mean when you look behind the car there is not a lot of water being kicked up by the rear tires, you can use racing hard tires, the lap time is much faster than intermediates, I guess its just a choice of whether you want to play safe of try to catch up if you are behind. Either way the AIs opponents is horrible in the rains, you should win most of the wet races easy.
