[717] Error Code

Lately when ever I try to connect to anyone out of Canada online it won't let me. A message pops up after about 30 seconds of loading that says I'm not compatible with the host of the room. But for example, when the american who ran the room left and my Canadian friend took over the room I was able to join.

I've cleaned my cache.

I restarted my modem multiple times.

Used my neighbors internet.

All that hasn't worked. I'm not sure if the 717 is and error code but it does appear under the message. Help? :yuck:

I have had the same problem sporadically. I tend to play with US and Europeans alike, this issue has been happening a lot this week with some online friends. If I manage to join the room, I often can not hear nor see my friends on the track, their icon show them loading the entire session.

Just as you have, myself and my friends have gone through all the cleaning/restarting/resetting possible with hardware and software. I strongly suspect this is an issue with PD's servers not playing nice with each other across the globe and failing to synchronize.

Regardless of what it is, it is incredibly frustrating. I have all but given up on GT5, except for online play. If this issue continues uncorrected, I will retire it for good.
