weird online race (glitch?)

Hi guys,
two days ago i were racing with some friends, first we raced with the clio trophy car (or the lutecia), then in the middle of the race the server disconnect me (the other people finished the race normally) and the game freezed, so i restarted the game and enter again to the lobby, and here come the funny-weird thing, we decided now to race with the recommended calsonic impul gt-r, and when we start the race...

The half of the cars where renault clios!!! they were the fastest clios ever!!

only i could see the clios, to the rest of the people it was a normal race with the gt-r's.

How many of you have seen this before?

WOW never seen this before. Those are some fast clio's, lol. for some reason the freezing of your game at that moment while online, forced your system to do this when you re-entered the race. very strange. i've seen some wierd things online but not like this.

Anyone else have this happen? or something like it?
 
I'd love to see this :lol: Imagine a Suzuki Escudo and you were seeing a Mini Cooper, that would be awesome :lol:

I remember someone posting this before, it was the same as what happened to you except he was seeing a Prius, a very fast Prius :lol:

I've never experienced it first hand though.

There is certainly some weird things going on online these days.

I've had a guy teleport from about halfway round the track behind me to five car lengths in front of me.
I've had some weird stuff relating to tires going on as well, like my Kusabi reverting back to comfort softs or cars driving like comfort softs are on when they say they are not. Seems to occur sometimes after a pit stop. You go from setting lap records to wtf is going on here, my car can't even make it round the first corner.

The strangest thing I've seen was in a replay. 3 lap race, guy comes in to the pits on the 2nd lap, leaves the pits but when he does his tires start cycling from full tread to nearly no tread, constantly! I'm not talking about overheating I'm talking about tire wear. So this guy is trying to get around Road course Indy all the while as he attempts a corner his tire performance might go from full to zilch several times and it looks like what I was seeing was also effecting his cars handling as well as he was all over the place like a mad womens crap, even if he wasn't seeing the same thing on his tire indicators.

Just today I've been trying to host and I keep getting dropped from PSN and my lobby. It auto logs back onto PSN straight away no problem but I have to reset my router to get back onto the open lobby servers. Anyone else suffering outages or is my router just pissing me off for the sack of it? Doesn't seem to add up, internet connection and speed is good everything else seems to work but if I try to host it seems to disconnect me after a random length of time, other players in the lobby or not.

Edit: OK now its letting me host again without router reset, it still may disconnect me though. None of this adds up to making any sense!

What monumental changes came with the update to create so much trouble?

that happened to me in a race too!!, but it was constant, he freezes then he teleport, freeze, teleport... so annoying.
 
A one off teleport may be attributed to a glitch in the network, but constant like you describe it has always been in my experience the fault of that persons connection, and normally if its that bad the person not only knows about it but is probably doing it on purpose.

I've had no connection issues today but I did have tires reset on my car from rain intermediate to wet. As did someone else in my lobby.
 
I've seen this happen as well. It happened while running a few races with the recommended cars. First race was with F40's, then we ran Subarus, but one player was still stuck in an F40. It clearly drove like the Subaru, and everyone else could see the F40 too.

This happened at Suzuka, (after runnig at the Nurburgring GP) I wonder if the track plays a role in it?

So it seems like a body mix up, since it drives like the correct car.

I don't race online that much (it was much too like bumper cars when the game first came out so I lost interest... pleasantly surprised to have some great races this weekend though after no playing online for months), but this weekend at the start of a race it appeared that noone started from the grid and I could see everyone still sitting on the grid in my rear view mirror. Since most of the other players have mics I pulled over and started wondering what they were doing. A couple of seconds they all disappeared from my rear view mirror and teleported several seconds ahead of me... I should have kept on going :-)
