I have maybe 8 friends on my PSN friends list who play GT5 but none of them are serious about getting together and racing. Frustrating, as the online play is an area of the game that I have not spent much time on - usually as when I get on the only rooms i can see are all wasters driving up down the airstrip at the Top Gear track - boring.com

Just putting the word out as Im curious about it and am interested in joining a group of users. Sort of thing Im looking for is 100% fair and clean racing - if you put a man in a wall to gain position, you slow down to let him back to where you both were pre-collision, long races in the double figures of laps, no headsets (maybe selfish with that request but I have the 5.1 going and I like to hear nothing but engines and squealing tyres...)

Doesnt even have to be NI racers - even the whole of UK, keeping timezone in mind.

mate u can add me if u want im looking for the same as you really just a good group of uk time zone racers to start up some sort of club for clean racing,online championships and all sorts of fun. i like to race all differant cars/pp/bhp and am getting tired of joining rooms full with mugs my psn is NUFC_1989_ look forward to some great races.
 
you got to add me we can chat UFC aswell i only just seen your bones jones quote did you see any of UFC rio, anderson silva was amazing how he made okami throw at him then before he landed silva dropped him lol

Hi, Have a look at CORE GT LEAGUE, we are a fairly new group of mature clean racers and we try and host regular events, (usually at weekends).
Some of us also take part in the Zero Cup every Wednesday night at 8.30 BST. Our group is still small at the moment with only about 7 or 8 active members, but as more people join the racing gets better. Some of us do use headsets, but you can always use the mute headset option. We are currently trying to set up a weekly event for Fridays called Trident race series.

Hi there, add me I am keen, am pretty much like the rest who have posted, few friends but not many racers, am free most evenings at the mo. Be good, even if to reduce the amount of time looking (and hoping) to find a good clean room worthy of settling down behind my DFGT without fear of being kicked halfway through my first hot lap.

i was up til stupid o'clock on here getting a few photos entered in then got into bed then at 4am remembered UFC was on. so i thought i'll turn it on and watch the last hour and see silva destroy another man....only for me to see silva bouncing around celebrating! how come the main event was on so early???

dude - to be fair, it was looking at threads of your team that got me thinking about getting something sorted myself but i looked at it and just thought you guys were hardcore with racing against other teams and stuff lol. i dont think im quite ready for that.....but i can give it a rattle to see what its like.

update - just checked that thread you posted. sounds sweet. i'd be joining you on friday night but i work rotating shifts and im on until 9pm this friday night. but with qualifying for 10mins then a 15 lap race i could maybe even join for the 2nd if im home in time. but if you're only letting people in from the start and no late joiners then that's cool.

all you guys - i'll add you on PSN as friends, just so you know its coming. ade - you may tell me which of yours to add......lol

Add ade3210 , dont worry we are not that hardcore. Just a group who like online racing but got fed up in the open lobbys.

Mate it was mental with loads of 1st round knockouts, big nog and shogun fights lasted about a minute so they must have put silva on earlier than planned also there was not one submission all night. As for gt5 ill take a look at core gt if your joining that i might just join with u if thats cool with GTP-ADE

This group was created so we could get people to race together who enjoy racing online, but couldnt find any quality racing in the open lobbys. All races are hosted in private lounges so no randoms going the wrong way around the track.

left a comment on that thread you left, ade. i myself am on the better side of 30 - but only just...lol. are you able to tell me if im able to join in tomorrow night for the second race? i dont even wanna race for points - i just wanna race. sick to the teeth of the game AI braking too early into corners and the moomins in the lobbys and want a bit of healthy competition. if you can let me know then i can spend tonight after i finish work and tomorrow afternoon setting my cars up so i can join you straightaway with no drama. and also - examples of cars you would be in?

as for your point about the 'same level with some better than others' - i will NEVER top the leaderboard for the seasonal events time trials. them boys can do well spending hours on one track mastering braking points, racing lines, etc. but it is a very different matter when you have 10+ other cars on the same track and the pressure is notched up 100 clicks lol. thats what im looking for - the realism, the competition, and the (mild, all-in-good-fun) bragging rights lol

As this is the first week we are doing this event I havnt had a chance to figure out what cars to use yet, but Im sure a search on GT planet will point you in the right direction. I will have a try in a few tonight and let you know. Like I said this is the first week so please dont expect high numbers of people as I know a few will be busy this week but there should be enough of us for a good few races. I have accepted you FR on PSN, so if Omnius hasnt added you by friday, just click on the player logo by my coffee cup and join.

have got a couple of cars sorted for later - even one for the monza race, even though its nigh on impossible for me to be there any time before 9pm, but i prepared a car anyway in the chance that your kickoff is delayed and sure you can stick me at the back of the grid.

was in the core thread there as well and saw omnius' post about it being open tonight so i put in a friend request to him like he mentioned in the post. really looking forward to it now, apart from the hateful matter of 5.5hours of work now at 330pm to deal with...... ugh.

I belong to a group of good clean racers of all abilities and we are nearing the end of our first Championship. We're always on the lookout for more likeminded racers.

We have race night every Friday from 23:00 GMT with the first race starting at around midnight. We usually manage to get 2 races in as they are only about half an hour each.

If anyone is interested feel free to come and join us or if you have a league going and are struggling for a full grid why not combine with us and vice versa.
