717 network problems still not fixed??????

Why have they not sorted out the network problems with this new patch???

I dont need a bleeping new racing suit, I need the game to work online!

I feel like smashing up the disc and mailing the pieces direct to Japan.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the single worst online gaming expirience I have ever encountered, I have had my friend (who is a senior network installations engineer with vodaphone) try everything to get GT5 to run correctly but with no avail, and from reading various forums it seems I'm not alone by a long shot. What the hell are these people playing at???

that must be frustrating
online works fine for the majority of ppl tho so i'd imagine it was an issue your end, rather than the GT5 code..

but that's a good thing, as it means it's probably fixable.

do all your other PS3 games work fine online?

All of my other games on ps3, xbox360 and pc work fine with no trouble at all

Both myself and a friend whos also playing are both suffering from this connectivity issue, but its not exclusive to us playing each other (which it almost never lets us do)

Had my mate set up the ps3 on a static IP add. and opened the ports but with no joy.

Tbh, im thinking about selling my ps3, as the only reason I bought it was to play this game (which it seems unable to do!)

the mate that set u up a static ip. could u take ur ps3 round his place and see if it's better on his hook-up? (or any other mates/family (other than the friend with the same problem))

sounds like gt5 specifically is struggling with how your ISP is routing network traffic. is your friend with the same problem on the same ISP?

if it works ok round theirs, then u may be able to get onto your ISP about it.

Mate, check your network settings first. Here's a fantastic guide: The ULTIMATE ultimate guide to fixing your NAT

It's a PS3 problem, not a GT5 problem. If it doesn't fix it for you, maybe the problem is your ISP (blocked ports).

For me it fixed everything online. :tup:

Yes you are not alone..
Please check my thread! Trying to get one bigger thread for the problem. Hopefully it will get more attention. Everytime I visit the forum and read alot of posts there er always someone having some kind of online problem.

Never had this happen to me once, didn't even know those numbers existed. Definitely try what ZeGerman recommended .
