Need a way to store your tunes?

Would you like to keep them online in case your hard drive crashes?

Would you like to publish your tune easily from your tune library?

This is a basic, easy to use file to keep your tunes organized. With some basic spreadsheet skills, you can publish your tunes to your garage without major reformatting. You can customize it to the way you like the tune to appear when you post it.

For now I will give basic instructions and then add to them as needed.

To use Google Docs, you will need a Google account, but not necessarily a Gmail address. When you open the file (link below), select File: Make a copy...

There are three tabs visible at the bottom of the file. Tunes, Unit Converter, and Instructions. These are mostly self-explanatory, and the Unit converter translates mph to km/h and vice versa for transmission settings.

To copy a tune for posting, select all text in columns A & B and paste into the Reply to Thread window on GTPlanet. It is recommended that you select Go Advanced and then Preview Post. You can remove any blank or unneeded columns before posting.

With Version 1.0, the format is for the way I set my transmission. You can customize this yourself or I can help with the formatting.

You just need to add 1 column to the left of column B and enter a new tune. Keep moving the tunes to the right as you build your library. You can only publish the tune in column B so you will need to be able to cut and paste columns at times.

Files:
Tune Library and Publisher v1.0 - make a copy from this one when you have a Google account
Tune Library and Publisher v1.0 sandbox - try it out but try not to mess it up for other users.

Let me know what you think. Please give feedback to help make this a better product.

Further Notes, Instructions and Screenshots:

Example use:
In the sandbox file, I pasted one of Praiano's tunes into the file in column F. then I copied the settings into the proper rows in the file in column D. It took less than 5 minutes to copy the settings.

What are you looking to do? Save your own tunes or make a copy of tunes from the various tuning garages? Or something else?

I built this mostly for tuners, but it should work fairly well to store a tune from a garage here. You can always type them in of course, but depending on the format, you can copy a tune and paste it into the sheet in an empty column, then copy and paste, or type in the values into the correct rows in another column.

Let me know how I can help.
