Earlier today while trying to make some Course Maker tracks, I discovered a new glitch that I haven't read about yet on here. Basically, what it does is trick the game into thinking that you are in an onboard view in a Standard car if you are on the onboard view in a Premium prior to using the Standard car. This is only doable on the Course Maker's Test Drive option, as when you try it normally the view will often reset to one of the actually available views on the Standard car. Basically, it works a little something like this...
1. Put a Standard car on your Favourites.
2. Go to Course Maker and open up or start a new track.
3. Go to Test Drive and get into any Premium car (all the Test Cars for the themes are Premium so you can just use them really).
4. When the track's loaded up, switch to onboard view.
5. Go back to the menu.
6. Hit Test Drive again but this time select a Standard Car on your Favourites.
7. When the track is loaded up you will notice that you can not see your car, like bumper view, but the speedometer is on the onboard cam style. When you start driving, you should notice some shake, which indicates you are in a pseudo-onboard view for your Standard car.
This is in a way similar to GTPSP's onboard view which didn't actually show any details on the dash or anything, just the window and that was it. This however doesn't actually show anything in front.
There is a glitch in this however with the rear view - when you hit the Rear View button, the rear view doesn't actually show but instead just the same view you are seeing currently. If you have Driving Line on though that will disappear if you try to look in the rear view. Also I somehow think that it makes the lighting look a bit different, as I saw when I did the glitch in my Atenza Touring Car on a Toscana Tarmac track (time set to 19:20) the lighting looked sort of different when I looked in the 'rear view' but halfway through the lap it seemed to stop. Probably because I started doing it rapidly, which might have glitched out the lighting. I haven't tried Left/Right Views yet but since they're just actual movements to the right I don't think they'd be affected.
I have also noticed a similar glitch with two cars that do not have hood view - the PDI Racing Kart and the VW SambaBus.
Basically, repeat the above steps, except you can use any car you want to put the hood view on, then get in one of these two cars (testing on a Kart track is easiest since a Kart is one of the three test cars there), and you will be in a sort of hood view. However, when I tried it, every time I pressed down on the pad, the camera moved suddenly rapidly in that direction, which is pretty glitchy. I don't know what the rear view button does with it, I will check later for it.
So anyway, how about you try this glitch for yourself for testing? Tell me how it goes guys, hope you enjoy it.
Also, as a quick note, changing views will block the glitch out again for the rest of that run. So, if you wanna keep yourself in this glitch, I wouldn't change view.
