DLC wont show on main account??

Hy, i have a problem, i buyed the DLC from ps store, and it works on lets say XXYY account.

But when i go to my main account where i completed the game etc.... the tracks, cars,paints, gears wont show??

WHY?

I buyed it with british pounds on XXYY account, and my main account is from Croatian.

Why cant i use the thing i buyed on other account??

Disc is from EU and accounts are from EU. I can only play the cars, track on that account where i buyed it, but why not on others??? All bought on 1 main PS3.

Can maybe someone explain?? Or must i buy Croatian PSN card (main account)
 
DLC is only available on one game save tied to the account you bought it with... you can not share the DLC in the SAME console... its a (/&(/&)(/ joke and a roubery
 
Yeah, PD really ****ed up on this one. No warnings about how their DLC works for one account, or how they are out to screw everyone over. Then for some reason it gets jacked up for NA. Way to go PD...
 
I understand linking it to one account, but why can't we be able to buy it for our main account. I just want the stigs racing gear n helmet. Looks like I won't be able to get it now :(
 
Wait a minute. If you buy it on your main account, that should mean the sub account will get it as well. But if you have two separate accounts, then you can't get it on both.

Would my theory be correct?

Unfortunately, no. Just tried it with one of the kids' accounts which is a sub of the one I bought it with, and nope, no DLC there either.

And it is not just because you have to install it again using the DLC-button in GT5?

No, it's not. It just says that no purchased content was found.
 
I'm happy I read all this before buying, very strategic to chose the account you want to use it on.
 
The DLC is tied to the ACCOUNT, not the system. So logically it is not possible to share with sub-accounts on same PS3 system or do the account-sharing thing.

PD did a good marketing job to create as much cash as possible. Everybody who wants the DLC needs to buy it. :yuck:

I have two PS3's andd my brother plays gt5 aswell.
Screw that, i'd have to buy it at least twice so me and brother can play
 
this kinda sucks since i use a sub acct to buy EVERYTHING so there is really no way anyone can get my info. glad they made america last in this case.

Lucky for you. I didn't even consider the possibility that it could be account locked (a warning would have been nice, and I see now it's up!), and ended up buying it with the "wrong" account.
 
This is such a heap of crap, i'm so dissapointed.
I'm not even going to buy the DLC once now, because I'm the only person in my house who can play it.

I got the Chrome Line cars and they imported to all the other accounts on my ps3 that play gt5.

Why PD like to shoot themselves in the foot eh?
 
is there a work around for countries without psn support? (which are the vast majority btw)

will it work if I buy the dlc with my secondary US account, log-out and then log in with my main southamerican account, and then use the in-game button for the first time?

I won't buy it if I have to use a lvl 0 account, since you can't export game data.
 
Hi mate, no that doesn't work. I bought it on my main account as I had to top up the wallet, then went straight to my GT5 sub-account and there's nothing there. I bought this before the warning was put up and am waiting for a call back from the PSNetwork team. The bloke I spoke to in Sony CS admitted that it was very strange and that the store should have a warning. I think someone else has mentioned that the release day DLC included with the CE and SE versions of the game works accross all my accounts. So unless I get a refund of £9.49 or whatever then I wont be purchasing any further GT5 DLC. I'm afraid it's an EPIC FAIL for PD and Sony on this one.
