I tried searching for it but couldn't find anything, so I was trying to set up the button and there's this RA function +, - what does RA stands for?
and what is it? I assigned to one of the buttons on my G27 and there's nothing happen?:ill:

Funny this thread should appear - I was wondering the same thing myself today.

I didn't figure out what RA stands for but basically it allows you to change things such as traction control, ABS and best of all brake balance, during a race. You can set it up by going to Options and changing the controls. I use a DS3 so I just assigned some of the buttons I don't use to the RA functions. You do need five spare buttons for this otherwise you won't be able to use the functions properly in game.

The five buttons are: bring up the RA function menu, then select a function (with + & - meaning scroll up or down), and then change a function (with + & - increasing or decreasing the function). When you bring up the menu it appears as a transparent thing on your screen but as far as I'm aware you can't pause whilst you're changing settings, which is a bit annoying.

Anyway, I'm not great at explaining things but I hope this helps and perhaps someone who knows a bit more about it can shed some light. I'm glad I found out about it today, as I'd heard people talking about it before and it seems useful.

EDIT: Found this vid, not great but makes it clear enough:

It is an adjustment for the Driving Force GT Wheel, you can change traction control, torque sensing differential, ABS and brake bias while in a race. Not sure about the G25/27.

Is it DS3 usable?

it's usable on anything you can program enough buttons to run it. it takes ALL RA show MENU + and - to scroll thru menu up and down and the other + and - to change the setting. I have it the top left button on my g27 with look back and the other 5 buttons programmed for RA whatever RA actually mean.

Yep. I use DS3.

I've set mine up as:

→ to access menu
← to scroll up menu
↓ to scroll down menu
[] to decrease function
X to increase function

I chose these buttons as they're all ones I don't use for anything else.

I noticed in the menu there was something about 4WD but it was shaded out when driving that Alfa on Eiger Grand Tour. Does anyone know what that function's for?

Alright, so you need 5 buttons for it, I will give it a try later I think, I assigned the button on steering wheels for horn, windshield wiper, high beam flasher hahaha

MrMulsanne
I have 4 available at the moment... think I'll take car horn off

Seriously, you need the horn. ;)

I use it. The 4wd thing is torque split between front and rear wheels. It is handy when tuning brakes and torque split. You don't need to exit to adjust.

Try using this:

You can go into your options and there should be a place for you to remap the G27 buttons. I have mine set up similar to opelgt's diagram and it works for me.

If you have a 4 wheel driven vehicle, and have fitted a variable torque distributor, you can change where the power is sent to (front wheels or rear wheels) between 50% and 90%. Some cars will let you do this stock (newer Imprezas) but not to a large degree.

RA stands for the Race Adjustment menu

My guess would have been real-time adjustment :indiff:

But yea, its a very handy thing to have. I use DS3 and have remapped the controls so I can use it. Pretty good, just dont got adjusting brake balance or torque split mid corner unless you wanna end up in the wall

I have remapped mine somewhat, I changed the shifter knob around so the downshift is set to reverse and up shift I use for 2nd e-brake. The e-brake helps doing dirt/snow racing as I stink at drifting ( had to drift in the snow to get the drifting trophy). In case anybody didn't know the paddle shifters are mapped separate from the hand shifter.

Thank you for this information. I'm extremely familiar with most parts of the GT series, but this is the one I was missing. This is super and is helpful in longer races, especially weather changing events.
