Voted 👍

Can the GT40 even get to 600pp with a turbo?

EDIT: also, i'd like to make my point on tires. We're not exactly going full on realism and period accuracy, if we were the Jag wouldn't even be in the same class as it's a sportscar and the others are prototypes. And also if it was accurate we wouldn't have the option to race at Eiger or Trial Mountain for example :P

So I think we should use open tyre selection, allow people to use racing softs etc. 👍

Lets use sports softs be have the level of grip drivers did in the 60s. Ill vote later when i get on my pc.

Tom- During testing Pigboy got it there but we can allow a specific tuning part if not. We will get it there, I used mine yesterday and struggled to get used to the unusal handling but kept up after a lap or so of practice. Nice track choices 👍

Skate- Unless you are out voted I will be happy to use sports tyres mate.

I edited my last post with my opinion on tires 👍 good track list there mate, and thanks :)

EDIT: I don't completely understand, we do two races once a fortnight? So a two week gap between rounds?

I will keep track of which tyres people want, I want this to be a mix of fun and difficulty so I voted for no restriction (thinking of the controller users).

Saying all this, it's gonna be touch and go whether I can make it, depends.

I'll have IndyCar Friday nights. TOCA, Karts and NASCAR on Saturday and Nationwide on Sundays. I don't think I can handle anymore weekend racing

Im thinking racing hards, it gives the more experienced drivers and those with wheels a challenge in the twisty stuff, as there is still a fair bit of slip in the back end.
But it gives levels of grip that will be suitable for less experienced drivers and those on controllers to be able to keep the car pointing the right way.
If we try and keep it as realistic as possible by using sports tyres, many people will struggle, including me. Making it less enjoyable. I found it hard enough on racing hards, i would think twice about going ahead with it if we were using sports.

Ive just realised ive voted for 14 tracks, it wouldnt let me untick the boxes

Tom- We are looking at wednesday evenings 815pm

Pagey- ill register your vote for Racing Hards mate.

Sandman- Yes please, that would be great, did you only vote 8 times? You get 2 more, unless you agree with pagey on some in which case leave it as he voted for too many :( Tyre choice?

That should be fine mate 👍

And just an idea, for the points tables you should use Google Docs instead of text. For my series I just update the spreadsheet online, print screen onto MS paint, crop it and upload it to photobucket as a .PNG so I can put the photo URL in the thread. Pretty simple and looks great :)

It would be a lot better, unfortunatley you lost me just after the word update :)
Ill give it a go though.

Thats all for me, what will the championship title be?

CRChampionship?
CRC?
GTPCRC?
Ect...

Ill do it abit later, now watching quali at brazil, now starting on bbc..

Voted. If "open" for tyre selection means racing softs, then put me down for that.

EDIT: My maxed out (turbo, maximum aero) GT40 is at 599pp with no miles on it, so yes, you can get 600pp out of it as you begin to wear the engine in.

Ok so 2 racing soft votes.
Erm Classic racing league sounds ok I guess, hadnt really though about it.

Joe- Thanks for checking that mate.

To be honest I do understand to a degree, I am just being lazy :D ill try it and if it doesnt work ill give you a shout. Cheers.

Full aero does take it up to 601, I may run slightly under the limit :)

EDIT: Do you use strong AS mate?

Thats the answer then mate. We will re test the cars and nothing is set in stone yet so no worries.

I'm very interested in this, exactly what I've been looking for. I would use the 2D. Preferences :
Tyres - Open [Required to use both RH and RS maybe ?]
Damage - Weak
ASM - Off

Me and Ellis just did some testing round Spa and found out the XJ13 is much quicker than the 330.

Plymo- Great ill put you in for 2D (educated car choice) and register your vetes, dont forget your 10 voted on the tracks.

Etid- Thats a very bold statement, let us test together and mess with the pp system etc. before we make any more please. Important we get the pp right it may well be reduced. I beat the jag in the p4 yesterday so driver skill, course knowledge and tuning can change it all around.

I think using these cars instead of the FGT's presents a new opportunity.

(waits in anticipation)

Night races!

And don't ignore my suggestion for Ye Olde Race car championship Bret

Great I am going to grab some food and then ill be on if anyone wants to help out testing, we could run any pp between 560/600 its important to run drag races, high speed runs and tight circuits. Remember that the cars in a championship are hardly ever the same, they have strengths and weaknesses at different circuits.

Ellis- I am tempted as we all know that putting Ye olde in front of something makes it better  I am well up for night/weather races in these 'olde' beauties!
