TOCA SEASON 4 INTRO AND RACE HIGHLIGHTS BY DAXCOBRA
TOCA SOCIAL GROUP
SEASON 1~SEASON 2~SEASON 3
SOCIAL GROUP PHOTO THREAD

TOCA is back. 3 Seasons have produced arguably the finest and closest racing on GTPlanet. 4 Premium cars from Ford, Honda, Mazda and Volvo have returned ready to do battle. It will be intense, with over 10 weeks 8 race nights and 24 races, as well as a launch party and a special Invitational “Masters” Event where past masters battle the current stars of TOCA. It will be intense, with a Mini Cooper series supporting the main championship as well for all 8 rounds. TOCA is back for 2012 and ready... Question is... are you?

A – All cars shall conform to the exact tune shown on the below post. IF A PART IS NOT ON THIS LIST, IT IS NOT ALLOWED. Failure to conform to the stated specifications will result in Points Deductions and possible Disqualifications.

B – Events are held in my Lounge - make sure "Furinkazen" is on your friends list.

C – Events are run of a Saturday.

D – The Lounge opens at 7pm British Time. The MINI CHALLENGE Race will begin at approximately 7.15-7.25pm BST and last until around 7.25-7.35pm BST. A couple minutes after the MINI CHALLENGE RACE has ended, Qualification will begin for the main TOCA race 1.

F – Qualification is 10 minutes, set on timer is set for qualification. This starts after the timer has been set for 10 minutes. No cars may hit track until the timer is up. As soon as the timer runs out the race shall begin.

G – Race’s will be run from a standing start.

H – Race 2 and Race 3 is a reverse-grid event.

I – Between races there is a 10 minute-interval, set via the automatic countdown.

J – Set-up changes between races are allowed.

K – Penalties are off.

L - Fuel Use and Tyre Wear is off.

M – Damage is limited

N – This is touring car’s so bumping, rubbing and small taps are par for the course. But excessive and deliberate moves across half the track to take someone out are disallowed. Remember – be hard but fair. Stewards will review incidents post race ad take appropriate action.

O – Drivers are not allowed to repeatedly block one another.

P – Any incidents will be reviewed by me and others, as I will have all replays saved. Warnings and Points Deductions will be handed out if necessary.

Q – Kerb cutting is allowed if you have 2 wheels on track. However I appreciate at a track like the Nurburgring’s final chicane with its movable barriers, or Monza, this may be more difficult to implement.

R – Quitting a race in anger or because you are running near the back of the pack will result in you starting on pole automatically for the next race. This is prohibited as it is a cheap way of gaining pole and in theory an easy to win. If this happens, in the race you MUST pull over at a designated pull-off zone on track as instructed and let the whole field through. Failure to do so will result in penalties. This may also be applied if you missed the previous race or got D/C’d.

S – We will use the BTCC Points System: 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Pts will count for all 24 races and the 8 JOHN COOPER CHALLENGE races.

T – Foul language in the lobby and / or other negative conduct will result in points deductions and bans.

U – You are NOT allowed to swap cars during the course of the season. Prior to the Season Start please make sure you have decided your car / team, and passed the information on to me.

V - Contact will happen in touring cars, but rear-ending someone hard so they run off into a corner is frowned upon. As is deliberating turning into someone in order to run them off the racing line. if someone has the racing line, they reserve the right to hold that line, only surrendering it if they move off it.

W - Mid race chat is largely prohibited. Writing down "sorry" is considered fine, but ranting and writing "why did you not wait for me to enter?" or "****ing stupid backmarker!!!" is prohibited. This will be considered with RULE R.

X – To win TOCA requires total commitment for 24 races, but if you are just a privateer driver or a fancy a one-off at a track you specialise in, you can enter. TOCA is friendly, so even if 6 races have gone and only a couple meetings remain, join! Usually there is 1 or 2 spare slots each week.

The following Premium cars are allowed in TOCA: The FORD FOCUS ST, HONDA CIVIC TYPE R ’08, MAZDA ATENZA SPORT and VOLVO C30 R-DESIGN. Once completed, all cars must be restricted at 305hp. A 1250kg weight limit is also in place to catch any cheats out. All cars use Racing Medium Tyres. Having any part not specified on the list will result in immediate disqualification.

Me and neljack would like to sign up.

We will probably use th Mazda, but we need to discuss and test further.

:D

FURI TECH RACING or TEAM FTR are the rebranded TEAM MRT and will defend their Constructors Title with Furinkazen back at the wheel and TOCA Veteran RacerPaul as their 2nd driver.

@Knelly and Dax ~~~ :lol:

I'm in for the Volvo. Will drive independent since I haven't sorted out a team mate 👍

New paint for me as well, Montery Blue Metallic CPM :D

And new pics, including unseen test pics, are being uploaded to TOCA GROUP now.

Whats sad is I hoped that you had 5 and that the 5th was the Vw Golf Mk5 since it races in BTCC :sly:.

Edit: Ill test these soon though but got some practice for other series first...

VW was considered. As you can see, Honda has got a 15kg weight break as well. Many new pics up in TOCA GROUP now!!!

By the way, my psn is TeamLotus_Eclat not DaxCobra.

Honestly, you should know by now!

You created a second PSN.. ok I'll edit thanks. All that Artwork Design has made me tired

January 6: TOCA Official Launch Night

^^^

Some fun and games on the Friday night before Round 1 :D By the way, my Volvo is the exact same car I used in Season 3... with 933 miles on the clock I think.

Should be a good season, despite the lack of real drivetrains.

Yet what drivetrain seems to win most if not all TCCs :sly:
BTCC - Honda Civic
STCC - Chevy Cruze
WTCC - Chevy Cruze

So if FF is so good, why don't they use it in F1?

Because F1 cars are rear engined? And also that's an open wheeler. Most street cars and most touring car's are FWD.

Old F1 cars were not rear engined.

Also, there are no FF Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Lotus'....

Well FF will give everyone an even chance this Season. Honda -15kg as well should tighten the field up...

You should read more Lotus, Nick Tandy enjoyed his test of the Airwaves Focus and he came from Porsches and said he usualy shuned Fwd until he drove the Focus and now wants to drive in BTCC hmmm :P

By the way, no customisable suspension allowed? :embarrassed:

Edit: just because one racing driver says he prefers FF, it doesn't make it better. FR/MR are the best layouts for pure speed and excitement.

I'm in (well duh?).

I'm pretty sure DBC will trust the Mazda in the upcoming campaign, but more news to follow later.

This is why F1 needs Kers and DRS to create "artificial" racing and overtakes, except for Hamilton ofc but he can make anything exciting check 2006 GP2 for reference.

What race are you talking about? Turkey where he went from like 18th to 3rd (Or was it a win?)

Or Silverstone where he overtook two people flat out?

And yeah, I hate DRS. Kers is ok as the other driver has it too, unless the team is 'poor'.

Accidently added Weight Reduction stage 1 to the Civic.

Back to the dealership...
