Now that the 2.04 patch is out, I have noticed very big differences at the Speed Test. So far I have tested 3 cars that I knew exact consistent times for. Every one of them is now SLOWER after the update. This probably means that all cars are now slower in the 1/4 mile, meaning a refreshed leader board... Pre-patch my RX-7 could run a 9.891s 1/4 consistently and now after the patch it runs 9.920s, thats 0.030s slower. I also tried the Black Edition, with my best the best launch I could get I was still 0.020s slower then my best time. Same for my SVT Cobra, running around 0.020s slower. Let's see if you notice the same thing.

Yup everything is slower :( which means a lot of work that went into the leaderboards just went out the window. We are already working on setting up new ones.

Hard to confirm it? It is a fact, even on the update letter say they made it less grip cause of excessive turn on the banks of the track, so they made the whole track less grippy, I almost cry cause of it, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WORK AND SWEAT AND TIME CONSUMING WENT INTO MAKING THE TIMES FOR THE LEADER BOARD!!! All I'm saying its that PD 🤬 ed up big time, I'm really mad, they better make this right and soon...

That's such a miniscule amount of time, I think it would be hard to confirm this.

when people are separated by .001 this is NOT a small amount of time.

I am making new leader boards right now, :( this sucks everyone will have to submit new pictures, and the new pictures will have to have the date clearly shown.

I noticed it immediately on my viper was tuning it while the maintenance was being done when i signed back in went straight back to test track losn aprx 0.030 and my 2nd to 3rd shift bogs badly now

It's so sad :( my r34 ran 9.298 and after scratching my head and super focussing I maxed 9.311 :(

Well when you drag race in a game that's not designed for it, you can't expect it to work correctly.

So you are just trolling us then -_-

Competiting 1/4 mile in a game that measures 1/4 times is obviously wrong, duh. [/sarcasm]

Thank You for this HAHA

Tell me about it , i was so proud of my my supra :(

This is bad news :( hopefully it wont take long for people to tune around it, on a side note has anyone been getting odd G force numbers? I just had a one off launch in my RX-7 at 1.29 G's  before that it was getting getting 1.25/6 and the most I could ever get before update was a 1.28, and it wasnt evan a fast run , and SRF was off before you ask thats the first thing i checked incase I had it on by mistake.

Edit: now had 2 runs launch at 1.29G's one at 9.879 and the other 9.878.
With my best run so far post update 9.873 @ 1.26G's
Will post pics if need be, but the times aren't important they're slow compared to what I used to get its the G's that is confusing me.

Edit 2: and WOW something has changed alot! I played with the front toe settings on my RX7 and got this... SRF off.

Whas going on with the G's? this was not possible pre update, and I garentee you SRF is off, I have no need to use it.

Do you think they may have edited the way toe settings work? before extreem values usualy worked to get quick times for me,I dont know much about the facts of tuning in real world drag racing but i've read alot of of people say in the real world using them settings eg rear +1.00 front -1.00 would not work at all.

PS eightlives your supra time was crazy fast! I hope you can get it back to the 9.890 it was at before.

Has this effected all tracks? Or just the route x and speed test?

I believe it's not track specific. Driving around spa felt different so I'd say they tweaked the physics, again. So now we gotta tweak all our cars again. Not even mentioning the work circuit tuners must go trough with their garages...

Oh wow.

Thanks for the info.

I don't think we'll need to re-tune. Just re-post the times after this update. Unless physics overall have changed and not just the grip of the track(SSRX)?

And maybe, how about possibly making a distinction in the leaderboard?
Like a have small screen cap of what times were at before this update. Or 2 leaderboards.

Just a thought.
Cheers.

They said that they made it easier on the FFB wheels regarding banking corners because they were having a problem with too much grip causing hectic oversteer i.e SSRX, Daytona 👍

It affects all my 0-60. That's why the skyline was only hitting 9.323, I got 9.311 out of her but couldn't beat that :(

Yea cause they made the tracks "less grippy" for the wheels users.. So unfortunately we all suffer :(

My RWD cars might have an advantage over others now I just needed a little less grip but I think too much is gone

I could care less about the guys who have wheels, but I guess what they want matters more than the rest of us.

Exactly.. Cause as GT5 is a circuit racing game and has integrated controls for wheels and FFB I assume that they get priority

hi guys

I just ran my R35 GTR black & im only getting .001 diff from pre update times & my max G-force is the same .

See ya

This just about does it for me ,i have spent hours working on my cars and finally getting them to a competetive point and now back to the drawing board, and as i have just installed the update there is notice that they will have to fix something concerning online racing, sometimes its better to leave well enough alone.

I managed to get a 8.988 outta my black edition. Also this would be a good time to make a actual leader board with rules.
