A cross-club get-together for some entertaining & fun racing.
Welcoming Newbies & Old Timers to join our Regulars & Irregulars :sly:
Newcomers & amateurs welcome. Friendly, relaxed yet competitive racing.

Event Duration: Approx. 2 hours
Event Format: 9 short 2-lap sprint races, cumulative points
+ fun after-races on other short tracks in the Mini & Toyota for those sticking around a bit

Car Regulations:
Comfort Medium Tires
Tuning: Prohibited
Allowed: oil change, engine rebuild, chassis restoration, paint, wheels, wheel paint

Race Regulations:
All aids prohibited, except ABS (driver's choice)
Reverse Grid Order
Tire Wear & Fuel: on
Damage: off
Penalty: off
Grip: real
Slipstream: strong
GTP OLR Rules is our guideline, (ie: keep it clean)
No Reconnaissance on the random regenerated tracks! ;o)
All stay in pits & not hit drive before or during race countdown.

The race will be held in the Cat & Mouse League Lounge:

Send a Friend Request to CatvMouseRL, a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of race time. At race time, the league acct. will NOT be signed on. You must click on the CatvMouseRL coffee cup, and it will show you the contents of the room.

Sign up by posting to this thread with your GTP Name & PSN Name, and the event day you want to race.

Race Procedure:
  • Please arrive at or before scheduled time (if you want to make sure you make the 1st race!).
  • Official races will start by 10 minutes after the hour.
  • There will be just very short breaks between each race (about 3 minutes). If anyone needs an extra minute or 2 for a personal pit stop, just ask, & we'll wait for you, but not for too long!
  • No Reconnaissance on the random tracks! ;o) All stay in pits & not hit drive before or during race countdown.
* Note about the races: Commitment to all 9 races is not required. You can join in for some or all of the races, if that's all your schedule permits. The only stipulation is that points will be accumulated for all 9 races, to determine championship podium.
We may also race for a bit more after the scheduled races, in the Mini Cooper on some of the short tracks, if there's time & interest in that.

* Note About the tracks: The randomly generated kart tracks will be based upon Scoot Round Tokyo (tokyo bay kart) by wat3rm370n, & Phoon Hill (eifel kart track) by cc570... to ensure the random tracks suit the cars. But we will NOT race on those tracks. They will simply be loaded, and then regenerated.

* Note about the cars: The Honda & Mini are both prize cars. If you need any of these unmodified cars, let us know, and we'll find someone who can send you one.
The Honda Z ACT is about as low in hp as you can get under the limbo stick! But as we'll only be racing it on flat tracks, nobody will need to get out & push! :embarrassed:)
The historic Mini Cooper is a fun car on London, at whatever hp.
The Toyota SPORTS 800 will likely surprise you on the eifel kart tracks! If you didn't think a small car like this could get going sideways... think again! :embarrassed:)

Monday for sure.

Can I pop into the other days if I am available, or is that frowned on? Also, I am still looking for the Honda and the Toyota. Any help on finding them would be appreciated!
 
You're welcome to pop in at all if you like.
I'll check if I have any spares, or someone will likely have.
(I bet cc570 has some spare Sports 800s.)
 
Just a note:
The Honda Z ACT '70 is the prize car for golding Aspec Beginner Series Japanese Classics.
The Mini Cooper 1.3i '98 is the prize car for golding Aspec Professional Mini Challenge.
 
I'm going to do the Aspec Beginner Series Japanese Classics on the VCRC account to get another Z Act to give away.
I refuse to dupe my Papaya Orange Z Act! :lol: I want it to be one of a kind!! hahaha

Also on the 26th, the event begins soon after the end of the Celica race so that's also quite helpful :P

FYI: For those who don't know, the quickest way I've found to recycle the UCD is to load the 1st aspec beginner series race @ Autumn Ring Mini. It loads fairly quickly. Then start race. When the race starts, exit out (not restart), and then hit start again. If you do this 5 times, it will recycle the entire UCD with new selections.

(I will admit :guilty: I'm such a UCD shop-a-holic that I sometimes do this when I get a chance when I'm doing something else - like using the phone or having a snack, etc. haha.)
