One thing I found with thte advert, is that it says people love one thing, but when it comes to the car, its a "like".
Which is an odd way to advertise a car. Saying that, "yes, you will like the car!" but not actually being 100% positive and saying "you'll love the car!".

Did anyone else notice the subtle dig at its three competitiors (Mini, Fiesta and Polo)?
Uh... yes... subtle.
Awful, awful, AWFUL advert. And no I don't think there's anything particularly naughty about it since they've made it so weak that nothing could be called defamatory.

Oh god it just came on. Tune in the background sounds suspiciously like it's being sung by Weird Al, too.

On the subject of the Punto;my goodness how the styling has hone downhill. The '01 Puntoi used to be one of my favourite cars, then everything went wrong.

I think the rules differ between the US and the UK, here you are not allowed to directly slag off a competitor, however you can compare (like supermarkets do) and base it on facts like price and functions. Clever what they did with the words but not exactly the most stellar advert in history.

I can't stand that advert. Maybe it's because they target everything I like... like the Mini... and the Polo... and the Fiesta especially. The first time I watched it I thought, "Oh, Mini skirt, I see what you did there. Oh.. Polo... I see what you did there." then when it came onto the Fiesta I just despised it. I've never really liked Fiat anyway, especially the Punto. The only Fiat I really like is the 500.
