I love GranTurismo i mean im a serious fanboy and appreciate the amount of detail and effort they had out into the premium vechicles, the simulated controls and track detail.

But i feel the homescreen to me seems like a another rushed and poorly executed after thought due to it being so delayed already.

Now i know what you're think "why does it even matter.. its a racing game for gods sake!!" But that's my point, i think the one thing they need to look at in GT6 is less menu navigation like GT2 (which most people believe to be the best GT)

I think the menu screen you come to when first starting the game is extremely annoying when 98% of the time all i want is GTMode. In GT6 i think these options should be at the bottom of the screen as you're started in GTMode as default.

Better yet why cant the arcade races just be an option in GTMode as a "Quickstart" option, with ALL your cars as an option to race without having to put them in your favourites.

I liked the menu idea from the older versions for buying cars with the regional map, so why try and fix something that wasn't broken? A simple bit of UI polishing would of sufficed, maybe 3D and more interactive.

At present these factors don't bother me but i think its something that needs to be addressed as the game did feel a little dated from the day i purchased it.

As Forza 4 is more aesthetically pleasing and more based for casual racers i think GT6 deserves a whole lot more.

What do you people think, do you prefer it how the UI is now?

There is a thread kicking around here, where someone has mocked up a new homescreen in GT life. There were some good ideas and redesigns with that. I do agree that what we have is bland and not very user friendly.

Here it is.

Oh wow. that looks SOOOOO much better!

Thanks for sharing that man its appreciated. i hope GT take notice of these ideas.

I know GT isn't about looking pretty and is aimed at the hardcore market but why shouldn't we get better if it's easily corrected! :)

Perhaps, just as you think your ideas are correct, they think their ideas are correct? So why would they change it?

Because as developers they cant have that attitude, its not them putting money in their pockets its me.

I'm not saying i'm correct so do as i say because i'm a consumer... i feel that the UI needs a complete revamp but rather than just saying that i expressed my ideas.

If consumers didn't express their opinions developers would eventually hit a brick wall..

You do have valid points, but I posted that because I really feel that Kaz believes "This is my game, this is my vision, this is how it should be, you can take it or leave it".

Yeah, i hear you. He is more of an artist and perfectionist than just a game developer.

For someone like Steve Jobs that kind of vision worked, it turned Apple from niche to a extremely rich established brand. Before he passed though IOS incorporated features that were wanted be its users for so long and use by other developers for years before... maybe Kaz need to SORT OF do the same?

OK OK that was a really bad example but you see what i meant?
