I am wanting to start a championship with the new DLC GT-R which Kazunori Yamauchi drove in the Nurburgring 24 hour race this year. The car is a handful to drive and requires you to use the least amount of braking pressure and it is naturally tight so lines used on the track would play a major role in going fast.

ROOM SETTINGS:
Grid start w/ false start penalty
Penalty- No, but that don't mean you won't get a penalty if you are hitting people and cutting corners
Visible damage- Off
Mechanical damage- Light
Slipstream- Weak
Tire wear- Normal
Grip- Real
Aids- ABS 1

Weight: 1700 kgs

Tires: Sports (open)

Race time:
10pm GMT/UTC Thursday
5pm EST Thursday
2pm Pacific Thursday
9am AEST Friday

You will not be allowed any power adding or weight reducing equipment. I don't know yet if we can put this car online but I might have everyone do that after each race.

I ask for people to save replays and file complaints if you think someone has not followed the OLR.
And yes you better have a good racecraft because I wont let you in if you continue to affect other people's races.
______________________________________________
The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports

"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

Policies

It is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1 and not try to improve it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league! We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures
QUALIFICATION:
Starts immediately after the current weeks race and lasts til 1 hour before race. So if anyone doesn't qualify during the week, PM GTP_Spazmatic at least 1 hour before race time. If you do not, start at the back.

At the Nordschleife, it'll be one shot qualifying!

Connection Issues
Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.

Step 1: Reboot your modem/router
Step 2: Reboot your PS3
Step 3: Clear your GT5 in game System Cache

Pit Stops
Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Cars on the track have the right of way. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in with in the designated white pit road exit lane. The white line which they use in real life. If you cross the white line before it disappears you will get a penalty.

Quitting
Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. If you quit because you spin and it's not going your way. You won't race here again. It is easy to tell who just turns off their PS3.

Race Incidents
Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include the lap # of the incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward.

I have no time, but am waiting to see if you have heavy damage and weather...'cause I settle for nothing less. Hope it works out. Once you have championship winners, your fastest guys could get together and attempt our 24hr event. ;)

Hello. Have been scearching for some race series now for a while there is loads to choose from but the time the race at is killer for us in ireland. Looks like you have somethin put together that is in my line of racing. What time are you hopeing to hold these races at is the only question I have

What time on Friday could you do it? 7pm BST is round 1pm EST which is where I am, east coast US. Plus or minus those times would be good or later on Sunday.

depending on amount of sign ups mate, I would switch Fuji around with Madrid, that way any rules will be enforced and people will think twice about making silly passes, just some useful info to give from previous experiences with starting new series with new cars,

also run Madrid backwards, purely for the braking zones, all possible overtake points will be straight, so there should be no reason for incident,

Thanks but stay tuned, it might change. Do you not race at all in the morning, just late in the day?

7AM staurday, could get difficult after a while, depending on race length, Saturday is my only sleep in day

This is a cool idea :D
Definitely interested
You will not be allowed any power adding equipment other than what is already installed or reduce weight.

That means tuning allowed or not?

Can I suggest a calendar like this??

Daytona Road
Fuji
Spa (weather)
La Sarthe (time/weather/endurance)
Motegi Road
Indianapolis Road Course
Suzuka (weather)
Nurb 24h (time/weather/endurance)

Maybe friday a little later to accomodate everyone time zones?

I understand this as you can tune the car but not add tuning parts, engine upgrades, weight loss etc, but you can mess with the suspension,

but this would be cool tuning prohibited,

That is when it would be for you right? A day ahead? What about Friday night, are you racing?

Yes, it just means no adding more power or reducing weight. What ever else, you can do is allowed but that might change. I will see what PPs it would be with max downforce and least down force.

gippone
We're thinking the same mate 👍
I was thinking so, but I really wanted to tune 'em. I also thought it would be easier and fun with tune prohibido.

Hype hype hype.....

Cant believe the spark that just set this on fire  4 our so different people posting this morning

By the way. I just ran a little on sports medium tires and its really fun. I think its more friendly with them. I listed in the OP, that we will run sports tires but you can choose any type of sports tires so the compound is open but tread is sports. Any objections? Since the sport tires don't wear fast, I think I might set the wear rate at "fast."
