Definitely contacting Fanatec now after what happened today. First race lap at the end of the lap I got fully on the brakes and had about 20% at most. Did my best to slow down as much as I could without running into the back of Al and I think Jon hit me in the process. Then I lost time trying to get the pedals working again, and if I had my mic on and known Jon was waiting for me I would have told him to go.
Then for most of the race, while I was taking time out of the gap to the leaders, I was constantly having to re-center my wheel as it was slowly centering itself to the right. Not sure if it's just because of Rome being all right hand corners or the wheel is finally starting to give up. Further into the race, I had another moment where I had less than 100% throttle and when I went to get on the brakes, I had the same amount as I did at the end of the first lap. Luckily I wasn't near anyone and it was turn 1 where I could coast it through the corner.
As for the NA race, if there are enough members present to have an official race, I'll probably not participate. If a 6th is needed, I'll probably just start and park it after the beginning of the race.
Edit: I should say, for once, it's not the standard pedals causing the issue. The port for the cable on the wheel is loose, and that's what's causing the pedal problems. If I knew how to fix it I would, because I have an old set of standard pedals that I could take that port off of and swap them out. The centering of the wheel is a completely different issue and one that's not for me to mess with.
