RACING STUFF:
Hold the proper racing line through the corners as passing cars are to pass "off" line. Cars being passed should not weave back and forth on any straight or change racing lines while a faster car is within passing range. Failure to follow this procedure can result in a penalty according to the severity of the situation. (Be courteous, let the faster cars through)
All GTPlanet online racing rules and guidelines apply. GTPlanet OLR Rules
Any track incident must be reported within 36 hours of the race completion for evaluation by the Race Stewards and should only be reported via personal message. If an infraction is proven to be valid penalty/penatlies in accordance with the severity of the incident will be applied.
These penalties can range from point deduction penalties to disqualification from a race or the entire Championship.
Every report will be evaluated and a decision will be reached and made official after the stewards have reached a verdict.

DURING THE RACE STUFF:
There will always be slight knocks here and there, either from errors, or close racing. However, 31 taps before the first pit is something that is not expected, it's poor race conduct. Aggressive racing is expected, but bad corner/braking choices should not be made.
Try to let faster cars by when safe. If you want to be in a league then you need to respect the other drivers. Do not ram, brake check or spin someone out if you think a driver did something to you on purpose. Dropping out of a race is poor sportsmanship. Stuff happens, just get back in the race, go for yours and let the Race Stewards deal with the incident. Dropping out and jumping back in to berate somebody by mic. or lobby text is not smart and disruptive to eveybody on the track.

-Sometimes a driver will see someone coming up fast behind and they will try to get out of the way only to end up BEING in the way, that's just stress not intention.
-The faster drivers need to give the slower cars some time to set up a good line to be passed. Faster drivers please be patient, it's more fun when it's clean.

If something happens and you screw up a drivers race say sorry (or text it after a race or PM them) let the driver know what was going on and race another day.

AND MORE STUFF:
- No Intentional hitting spinning out of opponents
- DO NOT drive the wrong way around the track during the race- No Corner Cutting, 2 wheels must be on track at all times
- Do not driver over blue paint with any 1 or more tires
- Do not put all 4 wheels on green paint
- No Blocking while on a straight or weaving (one move may be allowed for drivers racing for position only)
- 1 Mandatory Pitstop per Race (Refuelling is optional)
- You Must Stay within Pit lines when entering or exiting the Pitlane
- No Trash Talking or degrading remarks to other Racers
- You cannot pass by going off track (if this occurs give the gained position back)
- You Must yeild to Traffic upon returning to the track
- You must yeild to Lead lap Traffic (try to keep and eye on running order)
-WHEN YOU SPIN A DRIVER OUT AND THEY CRASH OR GO OFF COURSE GIVE THE POSITION BACK IF IT WAS MORE THAN JUST A SMALL ACCIDENT. IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO GIVE THE POSITION BACK AND THE INCIDENT IS REPORTED AND DETERMINED TO BE A RESULT OF MORE THAN JUST A SMALL ACCIDENT A POINTS PENALTY WILL BE ISSUED.

PIT LANE STUFF:
Drivers must not cut across the painted Pit Lane exit line.

MISSING A RACE:
Reserve drivers will be asked to fill the void spaces as they open up. Regular league members please notify the league president when you know you may not attend a race. League members may also propose to have the race postposed until then next scheduled race day. If a proposal is made all of the league members may approve or disapprove with the majority vote to rule. It's more fun if everyone is around.

Looking forward to this series.

JT, you and your test drivers did an excellent job on the specs! For me all three cars are within a second of each other for lap times. I'm having a heck of a time choosing.

Did you mean The short version of nurburgring GP or the more manly "big boy paints" Long version with the shumy S.

30kg added to Speed 8. Let me know if there is a huge difference in times from its own and compared for you. Thanks.

Well I might try this one as well, gonna have to settle for the 908 Team Oreca #4 car
p.s. any chance of allowing traction control? I am having a hell of a time trying to make a clean lap around La Sarthe

Work with the LSD.

I would like to drive the Bentley . I'm faster in the Audi but I prefer the leather seats and wooden dash of the speed 8.

this series looks good. can you sign me up for the Peugot 908?

FYI: I'll be missing the 2nd week of this series. So if a reserve is available, they may take my spot for the week.

This IS the AUDI Era .... As it was Ferrari's once and then Porches'.

Any tips or hints about the cars?

I'm not a big prototype guy and my practice time is limited so if anybody wants to share some insights on the three choices I would really appreciate it.

I have little to zero experience as well. So far i have found the R8 to be the easiest one to drive. But it may be lacking power coming out of the turns. The Speed 8 feels the quickest but can be a handful and will spin easily. I feel the 908 is in between the R8 and Speed 8 when it comes to handling and power. An overall nice car.

I'm still undecided. Leaning towards the R8.

So far I'm leaning towards the Audi R8 as well but only because I think driving it in cockpit view will be fun. the 908 will probably look the best in the pictures though...hmmm

I gotta get on the track with each of these cars. Thanks for the response Red!

You're welcome. Hopefully someone with more experience with these cars will give their .2 pennies worth.

Passing Areas for Circuit La Sarthe

Sector 1 (run down to Tertre Rouge)

From the start/finish line, the circuit follows a gentle right-hand turn (Dunlop Curve) on approach to the Dunlop chicane, a tight right-left-right complex, as it passes under the famous "Dunlop Bridge". This is followed by a short straight, leading into sweeping right, left then right hand corners at the northernmost point on the course known as the Esses (I know how original). From this follows the most important corner on the circuit, Tertre Rouge, a fast right hand turn with gravel on the outside to punish mistakes. Passing in this sector is foolish and unwise, one should wait until the kink after Tertre Rouge in Sector 2.

Sector 2,3 & 4 (two chicanes and Mulsanne corner)

A good exit speed from Tertre Rouge is crucial, as it leads to a 2*km flat out straight. This straight, run on public roads, is punctuated on Circuit de la Sarthe by two chicanes, a right-left then a left-right approximately 2*km apart. Speeds on this section can top 320km/h in our cars. At the end of this section lies a very tight right-hand hairpin corner, Mulsanne. Passing can be done at either L'Arche Chicane or La Florandie're Chicane, just remember that you will be approaching both of these at high speeds and the PD draft glitch will be in full effect, the inside line entering both of these is the preferred line. Passing at Mulsanne corner can be done IF the other car being passed is aware that you are there, getting position heading into the right hand kink before the corner is a must here if any attempt is to be successful. Much heartache will occur at Mulsanne of this I am sure.

Sector 5 (route to Arnage)

From Mulsanne, the road narrows dramatically into a fast, fairly straight section with three right-hand kinks, each one tighter than the last, simply know as the Back Straight. This is followed by two tight corners, Indianapolis (tight Left) and, after a short straight, Arnage (hairpin right) leading into a 1*km straight. This marks the final section before the track returns to the non-public stadium section. Passing in this fast moving sector is also unwise and only for the faint of heart. I would wait for a mistake form your competitor heading into Indianapolis then get the inside line heading into Arnage to complete the pass if one is to be made in this sector at all. I fear that many off track grass cutting expeditions will occur in the fist half of this sector or unplanned trips to the beach before Indianapolis will henceforth take place.

Sector 6 & 7 (Porsche Curves, Masion Blanche to Ford Chicanes)

This section begins with a fast left hand bend for about 1Km, then an quick uphill, right-hand turn followed by the tricky left-right-left Porsche Curves, followed buy Masion Blanche a right-left kink then a short straight. As the pit lane entry approaches on the right, the track follows a pair of slow, left-right chicanes (Ford Chicanes) into the shadow of the large grandstand, and across the finish line. Passing on the straight heading up to the Porsche curves should be done with a kind and courteous manner, i.e. letting the slower driver (mostly yours truly) to pick a lane and stay in it until pass is completed. Passing in the Porsche Curves is just plain dumb and foolish, one should wait until the short straight along the pit entrance by letting the slower driver your intentions heading through Masion Blanche and getting the pass made before the Ford Chicanes. Getting the Porsche Curves right may be the key to the whole track and the path to quicker lap times.
