Hi

New member here and sorry if this is one of questions which has been asked a dozen times before.

I have the opportunity to get both of these wheels

Logitech G27 - £170 (New)
Thrustmaster T500 R - £250 (Second Hand)

I'd like to get into Sim Racing on my PC and I'm looking forward to the release of aseto corsa. This is a pic of my desk and setup in case it has some bearing on which wheel is better.

My max budget is £300 and I wouldn't want to spend over that much.

If there is something else in the Sim scene then don't hesitate to recommend. :)

Thanks

T500 Used: I recommend you check the in ands outs regarding their warranty, and if applicable if the used one comes with original purchase receipt in case you might need it for future warranty servicing.

How much would a Fanatec cost? I've heard that to have pedals and a wheel (CSR Elite/Clubsport) it would cost over £500 which is way over my budget.

You have other options if you are not playing on an xBox 360, which the other two wheels you selected are also not compatible with. Check the website and look for any package deals. In the US you can get the GT3 rs v2 with the CSR Elite pedals and Shifters for $259.95 us. I think you can get the same without the Shifters for $259.95u.

do you have a link for that deal plz?

Just to update I just purchased the G27 from the Logitech store for £140 with some coupon codes. I think this will make a good beginners wheel and if I feel that it is too "toyish" then I can always sell it and make my money back and go for the Fanatec.

Thanks

I heard that Logitech is gong bankrupt in the video game business by the end of 2013 and as a result they're only going to be selling computer stuff I think. So if you're going to buy a G27, buy it now.

EDIT: Tree'd

I read that too, It's a shame because they need to refresh their PC Peripherals yearly/every 2 years like Razer do. They make some quality gear, 90% of my peripherals are Logitech as you can probably see in the picture. If they made a mechanical G13 and an updated G700 I'd buy them with no hesitation.

I recommend the t500 because the ffb and pedals feels great.it feels like a real car andbetter then my dfgt
