Welcome To Season 4 of
The GTP Rolex Sports Car Series!
This series is based on the real life series, The Rolex Sports Car Series. Like the real series, we will be racing two classes on the track, so we will be racing both GT (Grand Touring) and DP (Daytona Prototype) classes. DP is represented by the Nissan R390 Road Car. This car was chosen because it looks incredibly close to the real DP cars, and since we don't have the real car in the game, makes a great look alike! GT is represented by the real life series' road car counterparts. With GT Auto Aero, they look like the real race cars!
Changes from Season 3:
- No more Lotus Evora!
- No more Mazda RX-8!
- Aston Martin joins GT!
- No more Group C cars for DP!
- Classes are now split 8/8 from 6/10!
- Nissan R390 Road Car is now the ONLY DP car!
Race Day Schedule:
All times are in Eastern US time, on Saturday.
6:00-6:30- Room will open between these times.
6:30-7:00 Qualifying. This will begin as soon as the room opens.
7:00-7:05- Bathroom break.
7:05- Race begins!
We are always done before 9 o'clock, usually about 8:30. So it's about 2 hours all in all.
Caution Procedure:
This seems to cause some confusion, so I'll make it quite clear.
A caution is when two cars are involved in a crash, and both drivers type "Caution." If only one driver types caution, KEEP RACING! When a caution comes out, we will all slow down, and the GT and DP leaders will catch up to each other. Everyone will catch up to their class leader, then both classes will pit. If you are a lap down, you may get your lap back at this time. After we all pit, we will go green at the end of that lap. Pitting is OPTIONAL during cautions. A breakdown per lap is below:
Lap 1: Caution is called, we all catch up.
Lap 2: Depending on if everyone is caught up, we may pit, or do another catch up lap.
Lap 3: Either pit or go green.
If it's a bit confusing now, don't worry! We'll talk everyone through it during the races!
Starts and Restarts:
For the start of the race, we will do a pace lap so we can do a rolling start like in real life. The DP cars will begin their pace lap, then the GT cars will follow. The speed is 60mph (100kph) the DP cars should have about a 5 second gap to the GT cars at the start to avoid a turn 1 disaster!
Restarts after cautions are single file, at 60mph (100kph).
For both starts and restarts, the race is on after the leader goes! The leader should go when his/her timing gets restarted for the new lap.
Stewards:
There are four stewards, two from each class. The drivers from DP will do the stewarding for the GT class, and vice versa.
DP stewards: Cnd, Polar
GT stewards: Tbw, Damu (Anirishvirvana)
Cnd and Polar will handle GT complaints, and Tbw and Anirish will handle DP complaints.
If you have a complaint, just PM both stewards for your class.
Room Settings:
All Aids will be off, except ABS. Real grip reduction, weak slip stream. Race ending timer is at 180 seconds. No visual damage, and damage is on light. Tire restriction on racing mediums. You can only use racing medium tires.

Why are there already people signed up? They are already there because they are returning racers! They are all clean, and we welcome new, clean racers!
How do I sign up? It's simple!

Now, make sure that the car you want doesn't have two people already! Or that the DP list is full.
Hmm, looks great, but I can't make all the races? No problem! Just sign up as a reserve! The reserve sign up is the same, just make sure we know you want to be a reserve!

The NAEC is a separate 3 Round championship within a championship. These three races will count towards the normal, and NAEC championships. The NAEC will be just like the normal championship, only with 3 rounds.
