TBD

When not crossed out, room # is LIVE!

flamingtext_22683094498727939.png

TIRE OPTIONS

Tires consist of ONLY 2 compound choices; MEDIUM and SOFT with MEDIUM tires being the 'prime tire' and SOFT being the 'option tire'. The 'prime tire' (MEDIUM) will be used for ~55% of the race distance (determined by a specific lap amount) and the 'option tire' (SOFT) will be used for ~45% of the race distance.

ROOM OPTIONS

Room settings will be: Slipstream; weak. Grip reduction; real. Race finish delay in seconds will equal the slowest qualifying time (rounded up to nearest 10 second interval) example: last place qualifying time 1:36.xxx; race delay finish= 100 seconds. A restart rule will be in effect if a player is disconnected or kicked out of the room as long as the racer rejoins before 5 laps are complete.

TIME OF RACE OPTIONS

90s FIA GT/LeMans room(s) will OPENED at (Sunday 2:00pm eastern/Friday 5:30pm eastern). A double series with two race days and separate titles will be run.

QUALIFYING & RACE PROCEDURES

The results of qualifying will be viewed by me (freshseth83) on the live timing screen. In order for this to take place, everyone must complete the lap at the end of qualifying then enter the pits and hold their car there by pressing the 'start' button. After the lap times are viewed I will call out the order in which we start and change the settings in the room to the set race distance and tire wear/fuel consumption.

There will be at least one pace lap to get everyone in their correct order. Pace lap speed will be 62mph/100kmh in single file until the corner before the start finish straight where everyone will then line their cars up by 2's side by side. The leader will accelerate once he/she reaches the start/finish line and each car will go as the leader pulls off.

PENALTY SYSTEM & DRIVING ASSISTS

Proper driving etiquette is a must. Anyone found to be causing incidents or driving less than satisfactory around others will be warned and/or penalized. WARNINGS will be given for failure to comply with proper following of the rules or driving behavior. 3 warnings will be given before an infraction is applied (-5 drivers points). Warnings will last only through the "Continental Season". PENALTIES will be given to those who blatantly disregard the rules or have multiple incidents of unsportsmanlike driving (wrecking other drivers, single tire compound usage). Last place points will be given to those who receive a PENALTY.

Traction Control & ABS (optional) driving assists will be available to use at the user desired level. All other assists will be disabled.

The 90s FIA GT/LeMans series incorporates a unique success ballast system for podium finishers (in each class). The ballast system is progressive. It accumulates every successive podium finish (top 3 in class). Finishes off the podium deletes ALL the ballast gained barring a DNF.

SUCCESS BALLAST VALUES (Per Class)

1st. 30kg
2nd. 20kg
3rd. 10kg

The 90s FIA GT/LeMans series points system is also unique in that every participant has a chance to score points by certain feats accomplished in the race and in qualifying. This is in addition to the points scored on your finishing position. Besides the normal points payouts for your position placed at the finish, bonus points will be handed out for these unique feats as listed below-

POINTS PAYOUTS (Per class)

1st. 30pts.
2nd. 22pts.
3rd. 18pts.
4th. 15pts.
5th. 13pts.
6th. 11pts.
7th. 10pts.
8th. 9 pts.
9th. 8 pts.

BONUS POINTS (Per Class)

Pole position- 2pts.
Fastest lap- 2pts.
Most laps led- 1pt.
Most positions gained- 1pt.

90s FIA GT/LeMans series visits 3 major regions across the globe in Asia, Europe and America. In each continent there will consist of 3 or 4 races. These races will be separated by 'Continental Seasons' in which the results and ballast penalties will be considered at the end for a reevaluation of the car's specs to further level the competition. In each 'Continental Season' there will be at least one endurance round worth double points.

EUROPEAN SEASON (RD. 1-4)

The calendar starts in Europe at the Nurburgring. Rounds 1 through 4 take place in Europe with 2 endurance races at Spa and of course our version of "LeMans", both worth double points. Good results are a neccessity to get your championship hopes off to a good start!

AMERICAN SEASON (RD. 5-7)

Our mid season races take place in America. These 3 rounds are unique as they feature 2 tracks that are infield courses from famous ovals and 2 of the 3 tracks are run counter clockwise. The one endurance round is at former U.S. F1 home, Indianapolis Road Course.

ASIAN SEASON (RD. 8-11)

The calendar concludes with the final 4 rounds in Japan. Lengendary tracks like Fuji and the only street course we visit in Special Stage Route 5 are among the circuits we visit. The season finale is also our last endurance race, the awesome figure 8 Suzuka.

Sign me up for the NISSAN R390 GT-1,

Just a Thought here, But seeing as GT-1 and GTS classes were suppose to be equal, why don"t we use the new GT1 spec's and keep the old GTE spec's, should give them a fighting chance at the odd outright pole like they did in their time?

They were never suppose to be equal, where did you get that idea ;)? Also signups for specific cars will come soon, but expressing your interest in a specific car is fine. I'll have to create a sign-up order. I may base it off of points and participation. Any time/day you have in mind?

I just had that idea, GT-1 was a prototype like category, and GTS was a road car category made to match the GT-1's, at a budget,

Leave me alone I'm Australian, we only just started getting a highlights reel of the le mans 24 hour, 4 weeks after the event, plus my lack of full time non mobile internet until this time last year kind of kept me in the shadows, But I do enjoy youtube footage of the races, regardless of how minimal an uninformative it is,

As for a time slot, I'm easy either way, the usual Sunday time slot works for as I work night shift and should be able to make the events regularly, but don't hold your breathe, the Monday slot is a little to late for me these days,

Yeah, the GT1 class cars were able to get to the mid 3:30's at LeMans. The GTS cars were a lot slower. So they should be cut back for this season, which is why the cut in power.

that's cool, also I'm for the shorter events, its hard to maintain concentration for me after working all night,

You can have the R390 for Sundays, but as for Monday's the R390 is mine. :)
Take a look at the picture at left lol

Tyson I hope you can run Sunday too. If you want to run GTS Sunday's I think you'd do great in that class! I hope you can make Sundays at least.

I just noticed were talking about the same days! :sly: I guess that means the current days work well. I wish we had more interest though.

Perhaps giving it a month between seasons may generate more interest,

Yes, that's what the plan is. So were on round 5 of Monday's series, and the final round of Sunday's series. That means season 2 will be done in about 6 weeks. So less than 2 months. I figure at the beginning of May, that would be a good time to start the Season 3 up. Hows that sound?👍

Not bad, that gives Sunday's series about a month and a half break befor any pre-season starts.

I think we should do a preseason race at a created track of mine. Give people a little taste of what tracks I've made. Maybe make it worth half points for those that race.

A preseason race shouldn't need points, but that created track is awesome,

I will be online testing for this after the race today. I'd like a direct comparison to see how the times stack up.

BIG NEWS! Season 3's GT1 class will weigh 900kg each, and will include the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 and the Lister Storm V12!

Seth, I would like to propose that we stick to Monday's. I think it was best. Especially when we have a few other's series on the weekends.

Why are you posting this on every thread? If you don't like the cars were running modified, you can go to GTS class. Franko and I had it made so the GT1 class cars are 'altered' to their real life specs. No one to my knowledge has done anything like this to these cars. And if anyone wants to run the GT1 class with the cars, they will have to borrow it from Franko or me.
