I was testing out different transmission setups and spoiler settings using a Lambo Superveloce at Grand Valley in practice mode. I was doing lap times with a particular setup and even though the car felt neutral (maybe a little snug on corner exit) the lap times were slower than I felt they should have been. I put this down to the transmission/spoiler setup and I had and even written the difference in my notes. I then changed the downforce settings and engine reducer (keeping @ 550pp). Went out to the track and when I crossed the start line on my first lap, it gave me a bunch of red numbers (gap time) and the lap time counter was in red as well. First thought
this aint right. So I got out of the track, back to the course selection screen. Got back into the track and started my lap times with no issues. My lap time for this small change was 1 second faster than I had on the very first setup. I decided to go back to the original setup and try again. There was a time improvement of 8 tenths of a second. Ill admit Im not GT Elite, and even though my lap times wont be the best (junk) they are pretty consistent
consistently junk! I know that when doing online races or practices Ive had people join the room and my car characteristics might change, usually towards the tight side. So I just reload the track and away we go. My questions are
Has anyone else come across this? If so, are there any warning signs to look out for? Ive got loads of spreadsheets with lap times and Im a little concerned that I might have had this issue before without realizing it.
