I was searching through the newspage and I noticed that the article regarding the scanning of the Ferrari P4/5 is gone. any particular reason why?

Yeah I noticed that also, I only read half of it earlier, I wanted to read the rest and its not there. What gives Jordan/mods?

But that doesn't really explain or give any clue why the news were taken from front page. Now we can only assume you were asked to remove them, and further assume who asked you to remove them, and further assume why they did that. I'd guess it has to do with keeping development secrets, but I don't see how this could hurt the GT brand, rather create more hype and attention...

There's most likely a Non-Disclosure Agreement involved.

Jordan, with all due respect, you could have elaborated a bit more.
You haven't exactly explained yourself. (not that you have to, it's just that, why mention it in the first place if you're going to be so vague about it?)

From the looks of it, the whole news has caused a flare-up of cynicality and a heap of "PLS INCLUDE (ferrari) WHILE UR AT IT PD." So yeah, it would make sense to pull it off of the news feed if no one can handle the discussion.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I'm thinking. Too much outside reaction, maybe? What I'm wondering is whether they were told to do it or felt that it was for the better..

Jordan,

I trust your decision, but if someone has told you to pull the story then there has to be something bigger behind it. There is no way PD would get all shirty about people knowing about them scanning a new car, and 2 we already have in GT5.

Also, if someone has only just got wind of your news article and pulled it, what have they stopped you posting as news before now?

And you say it's not in GT fans best interests to further discuss these cars, why not? Why not discuss 2 cars we already have? It's not that big of a deal really, I mean, it's not as if they were scanning a Porsche or anything. The Bathurst thing was much bigger, and you reported on that and it wasn't pulled.

I know your not going to tell us, but what is the deal pal? Lol.

If Jordan was going to post an explanation, he would have already done so. Repeatedly asking won't change that.

My suggestion is to let it go.

There's no harm in asking. You never know, he may surprise you.

It's somewhat surprising, considering this article remains available.

There must be a reason, but the majority of us will never know...

Edit: Nevermind. We know now.

*cut off dramatic music*

Just so this is clear, yes, I was asked to take the story down. I'm sorry if any of you feel teased, but my previous comments remain true, and I won't share any more details about it. You've all seen the pictures and you all know the story. Be happy. 👍

There's some humor! Now I feel at ease....my God...this feels good.

At any rate, it must be a nice feeling to see that this site can have an influence as large as this. I know it's not the first time this site has been the first to report news. We got their attention :)

Wait, what thread am I in? I don't think I even wanted to post that on this site. Yeah, no more drinking while browsing the internet.

I'm just randomly guessing when I say this, but I think it may have to do with PD not having an official Ferrari licence? I don't know.

I am sure this website brings in a little money for Jordan, but not enough to defend a lawsuit from a big cooperation, perhaps a cease and desist letter was sent.

What ever the reason I do trust Jordan. I love this website!

Problem is, its not a Ferrari. The car has officially confirmed as something by "Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus". Even on the picture of the car itself, it doesn't show the Ferrari Logo.

It's probably just issues with their current licence on one of the cars, hopefully it'll be cleared up soon. Until it's eventually revealed, I agree that there's no point panicking. :)

In keeping with this:
Yes, I'm sorry, but I've learned that it's not really in the best interest of Gran Turismo fans to continue discussion about these cars. You'll just have to trust me on this one... :)
this thread is locked. Please follow Jordan's wishes and refrain from starting any further discussions on the subject.
