Long Week Huh?

Well the track was long.
I hope you all enjoyed it, and if you turned in a time, obviously you did. :D

As always, I would like to announce and congradulate our fastest racers from each division.

cinjun8
Eagle
Rollazn

Specifically I would like to say 👍 to Rollazn for a great come-back.
Eagle for a division win that I am not sure you manage too often. ;)
& cinjun8 for a time worthy of the division 1 winner (although .2 on this track is awefully close) ;)

Now, some results.

Division 1
3'37.332 cinjun8
3'37.588 ROAD DOGG33J
3'39.132 GoKents
3'43.242 HeinrichII
3'45.850 Famine
3'46.093 tuff240

Division 2
3'41.464 Eagle
3'45.303 Michael K
3'46.886 Luxy
3'49.454 HareTurtle
3'49.630 EvO
3'51.713 flat-out
3'52.120 scuderia229
3'55.712 banjobear

Division 3
3'46.729 rollazn
3'48.604 Omero
3'54.615 wellyrn
4'05.310 Firestarter75

On a personal level, I was unhappy with my time.
It was all thanks to a lap with 2'28.9 -> 3'39.4
After that, all of my mid and low 2'27s were way off pace and I never managed to finish strong. :(

However, after time with the racers in the thread I realized that there was more to feeling good about my week's worth of work.
In fact, I felt good knowing that I could skip a cobra week, then a rally week, and still come back with a mid level div 1 finish.
That was all on top of the fact that my initial set up managed to help a few people (makes you feel warm and fuzzy :sly: )

So with all that said...

Please post all replays and analyzer data in this thread.
Hope to see you all in next week's race, hopefully you will all enjoy it. :mischievous:

w00t! Man I've been refreshing the WRS forum for 15 minutes now waiting, once every minute. Congrats to the 3 guys who made it under the 3'40 barrier, I felt I could have got there myself (was 1.5 up at times) but much like GoKents could never come home strong when it mattered.

I felt early on this was one of my better chances for a div win, I seemed to be on the pace, and I'm stoked to have done it. GoKents can post my analyser data or I will when I get home.

Congrats to rollazn for beating a fair chunk of Div 2, and cinjun and road dogg, damn, what laps. GoKents is right that 2 tenths is nothing on this circuit, I was expecting way larger gaps, but not quite 4 seconds o_O

Great racing all, this has to be one of the most enjoyable runs I've had the fortune to experience so far.

GoKents: you can go back to Tifa, Cloud and all the rest once you post the 77 challenge. And I can finally go get some dinner before my next class starts.

I just got my T times
36.340, 1'31.5xx, and 2'26.3xx

I saw a couple mistakes on the last section, a little too much braking at the end of the hills.

I will be going back to CS with the C5R, Viper and then my Castrol Supra.

I'm considering asking to move down to Division 2. I'm consistently at the bottom of D1 and the top 2 or 3 in D2 usually beat me by a good margin. Any thoughts or objections from the racers?

I'm thinking it will make me try harder to gain that extra few tenths to move up a position for a possible podium spot. At the same time making me learn more and be a better driver because I was trying harder. I just feel as I'm in a rut and can't improve my driving. This may force the issue and that is part of what the weekly race series is about, right? Making us all better drivers and tuners.

Of course the other part is to have fun and have some comradery with our fellow racers, which I feel everyone does very well. On that note I would like to thank all of the racers that participate in this series. It isn't very often that you find a sizeable group of people that are so trust-worthy, friendly and willing to share.
Props to everyone. 👍

First off, I would like to say 👍 to cinjun and roaddogg.
You guys pulled some great laps and I am sure that many competing for spots on the complex string records pages will be unhappy to see such fast times from such an un-used car.

Good job fellas (assumming you are both guys ;) ).

Eagle

You're killin me tonight.

Actually, not to carry that subject into this, but... (going against my word and therefore breaking my ethical code...)

Tifa is leveled up beyond everyone and literally on the same level as cloud.

Also, I have to do all that damn chocobo racing before I can get "knights of the round," hence, I will not be playing that game for a while (since I know nothing of the chocobo breeding and racing :hint: :hint: : proper thread: )

Any way, catch you guys later.

Oh and one more thing.

I am happy to be doing this...
Many of you stick with the weekly race series and I thank you.
So many of you are consistant about turning in times.
Others come back when I forget that they were with us.

Both groups are greatly appreciated.
So thank you.

Thanks for making this series work.
Thanks for letting me force races on you. ;)

I just had to add this in once I saw it posted.

**** it was a good race, congrats to everyone in all Division.

For me, i missed the dead line, touthg it was somewhere today. :banghead:
Not last night. But anyway, who cares, it's for fun. Here is my time i made on sunday.

T1: 36.257
T2: 31.919
T3: 2.27.284

TT:3.37.569

Today i'm free ass hell, so i'm going to take some more lap and try to make the time i was looking at. And for sure take time to go

Later, and see ya on week 77.

Thanks guys! I don't think I could have gotten that time without Gokents setting. It really was a masterpiece.

Congrats to CinJun8 for winning top position.

Hi,
Thanks..2 isn't very much on Complex, very close indeed!
I did get a 2:25.9,but washed out in the hills.I think I broke
my wheel. The force feedback keeps cutting out.A good excuse to upgrade.
Congrats to Eagle and rollazn for their division wins.I will
have my replay up tonight.
Later,
cinjun8

If you need any help with that, PM me. I know all too well about the whole procedure to go through ;)

Back to the WRS now... I might make a come back myself. I started a new game of GT3 which is going quite well ( not trying to do a 229 day game ) and I finally won the F094/S, so I'm going to start unlocking all the tracks in Arcade mode. I haven't checked what this week's race is like, but I really will be trying to be back starting this week.

I would like to congratulate Cinjun8 for an excellent lap time, good job dude 👍, and also to ROAD D0GG33J whom I don't really know, but I raced against in a previous TORC event. Your doing good man :)

Hope to join you guys on the track asap ;)

Hehe...doing good comes with a price of two sore thumbs, thanks for the words. :)

Hi,
I finally got the damn usb error message to go away,
seems to take a little longer each time I use the Sharkport.
Later,

It took a while for the transfer to start. I hope it works.

Edit: Wow, that slalom was nothing short of amazing

Hopefully, I can apply some of this stuff into my CS runs.

Compared to my replay you lost about .3 there and .1 on the straight. The other slalom was also fast. I think the rhythm must be better with the wheel.

Bad time, but the replay is here anyway.
The one that was posted in the week's thread because of my holidays starting too early...
