Week 80 ½ : Waiting for Kent

Week 80 deadline has been reached when the old server went down, and we don't have any news from GoKents since that time.
Since week 81 is not likely to be posted before next Tuesday, I thought a week 80 ½ race would keep our fingers and wrists warm over the week-end.
I just took a look at suggestion thread, and I propose a race on Grand Valley Speedway in a fully modded Opel/Vauxhall Calibra, with the usual WRS rules.
Anyone else is in ?

Not many people interested actually. It seems I was the only one who needed practice on that week-end. And I just ruined Kent's plans.

I won't post any results on this, since I'm the only one who drove it. That would be a too easy way to finish first eventually. :lol:

Hey all,

Just wanted to mention that I'm not mad or anything about this race being posted.

Only unhappy that we can't do it next week.

Also, I suggest everyone runs this race since it's such a bad ass combo. :mischievous:

Side note:
It's kinda odd to me that I can't get a grandvalley race through.

Last week, for week 80 it was going to be on grandvalley but then ron setup his race and so I used another track.

Then this week, with the downtime we ended up getting a temp race and of course it was a grandvalley run.

Guess it just goes to show that you guys are keeping up on what we do and do not run in the weekly... I mean, week 62 was our last trip to gv and that was nearly 20 weeks ago. :eek:

So it is time for grandvalley again, but when? :mischievous:

I really wanted something on Grand Valley Speedway since the week I joined the WRS in week 65, 3 weeks after the last event on this track.
Kent, since we didn't read anything from you on the emergency forum, I thought you were having trouble with Frances approaching the coast of Florida, and I thought that a small race would keep everybody busy over the week-end until week 81.
Too bad.
Sorry to all those who asked for this combo on the suggestion box.

Kent, next time you plan GV, it has to be a 3 lap race to make up for all this

BTW, after five or six laps I have a clean T3 = 1'08.565
Now that I ****ed up week 81 combo, I just want to enjoy it as long as I can.

Edit:
Some more laps with best clean T3 = 1'07.160

I'll wait for Week 81 proper, I probably have more laps on GVS than all the other circuits combined now, I think I can pass it up.

But no-one is doing this. Why can't we have GVS in week 81? It shouldn't make any difference that we know about it. You could announce the race now instead of waiting to Monday/Tuesday and give an extra couple of days to do it. Use a different car too.

Or use it in week 82 or 83.

Also, I have some other races in mind at the moment.
I think all of you will like them.

Suggestions for almost any car is a great idea, but some cars might not fit for what I've got in mind.

Hope to see all of you enjoying the race when I release it, but in the mean time, try having fun with this gv combo.
