Trial Mountian Monkey...Back!

Well I noticed this as I was doing one of the races, so I thought I should photo drive the track and sure enough that monkey is back!



 
I figured that PD would sneak something into the game and it seemed logical that they would put the monkey back in it.
 
BTW is this a repost? I haven't been able to find another thread about it.

someone used digital camera to take monkey shot in Japanese demo
about 3-4 months ago I think
 
Ah I tried a search on it but came up with nothing so I figure I was the first, well damn someone beat me to it. I was all excited too.
 
Is there any way you could get a shot of the face of the monkey or is it always just the back? I could never find it in gt3 but the photomode really helps.
 
I couldn't get it but if someone else wants to try go for it.
 
this was one of the first things i looked for when i went to trial mtn. cool stuff. too bad you cant do anything with him like 'unlock a super secret car if you can hit him with your car' or 'monkey driver in open top cars' :dunce: i know they're wacky ideas but i'm just havin some fun :dopey:
 
Ya he's a lot littler then in past GT's. I'm on a mission to find other hidden things in the game.
 
I'm just surprised no one has made a jest at the BMW 1 Series I was using :lol:.
 
Oh wait... That's not just your typical monkey - that's actually the guy who designed the new, improved competitor AI for GT4.

i have never seen the monkey either, after hearing about it when i joined GTP I even turned on GT3 specifically to find it, no luck though.
 
But here is a question, why would a monkey be in what appears to be a European forest?
 
I found I wasn't able to properly zoom very close to that Trial Mountain monkey...

Maybe someone else can do better, but I think you push the bounds of the actual resolution of the model.


(Eventually I should be able to restore working hot links to personal copies of those images)
Instead I have made them attachments. FWIW.

wow! never knew about Mr.monkey! Very cool, he looks pissed though. T_T its too bad, It nice to know PD wouldnt put a programmers face on the front though!
