Ford GT, GT LM & GT40 Settings (ALL Modles)

I have spent numerous hours tunning the Ford GT series, & have come up with very good settings for all the modles, GT, GT LM & GT40, alll years. Im posting this as a on-going, Settings Spot for the Ford GT modles, I will update the first page with the newest versions when ever availible, I accept all critisizm, in fact PLEASE post all your opinions of the settings (within reason, no nasty stuff please) & I will use them to better the settings.

[Note] This is the hardest GT to drive, if there is still a slight underdersteer, you can add ASM understeer as you need it, BUT before you do know that this car requires ALOT of throttle finess while cournering, going WOT at the apex will put too much power down and the car will want to go straight. Before you add ASM understeer, try finessing the throttle a little more, Mastering the throttle will benifit more the ASM, ASM slows the car down.

I am presently working on top speed settings for the 69 GT40, she wont be as fast as the 02 & 05 LM modles, but for a 36 year old car, she sure is impressive, and handles quite nice. They should be ready this evening.

It handles a ****load better than the new GT and the GT Concept.. Ford broke my beloved car :grumpy:

Naw dude, I get Sick times with the 05 GT, check out the settings.

There is one for every GT, and each car handles well (there is always room for improvment, but I need feedback for that)

Reguardless, check em out, I LOVE this car and it sadens me to see so many Diss it, when the regular problem is simply turning the breaks up too high, Try my settings, you might be suprised.

Keep in mind cars going slower are easyer to handle, the GT goes alot quicker then the GT40.

Ohh - I absolutely _adore_ the GT40, and I adore the looks of the GT - it just behaves like a drunk elephant in a warehouse full of glass.....

That is why I am sugesting you try my settings, they make the car handle great. :sly:

It is a lot different than the default feel of the car, and will take some time getting used to, but all in all you've made this feel like an even more solid car.

The feedback:

The only problem I find with it now is that the car has a tendency to understeer. I am going to attempt to mess with the traction control to see if turning it up from 0 to 3 or 4 will help that a bit. I don't know when I will have time to try this out.
 
No ASM? I think these are going to be hard for me , but if these settings are great, this thread should be a sticky , to get rid of "Ford Gt sux" topics.

I'll see if I can get you a fix 4 that, I'll have to do it tomorow though, My girl has the TV on lock down tonigh (she taped Nany 911, and she would rather shoot me then let me play :scared: )

ASM really is a user preference, these were tuned without, but you can add as you feel you need.

Hope you like them

I love the GT40 and the sucker is a sweet ride, Its HARD to tune right, but very rewarding once done right.

I will be finishing the GT40 (Top Speed) settings tomorow as well, hope to get them posted before Midnight.

I was intrigued ever since I saw the TLC Special on the making of the Ford GT, and PLEASED once I got behind the wheel. The more I tune her the more I like her, She was my second car purchase, I held off buying anything beyond what I needed to win the FF beginer cup race, and from the first night I got the game, I was Driving the GT (Day 1 of the release in Canada) Every GT site I see, there is nothing but GT Bashing, so I spent alot of time refining my 05 GT, & Tunning the rest of the family. After many hours I got a Race Setting for all, and Top Speed settings for All in the works, I got the GT 05 to 284.27mph, its the fastest Ive seen her go so far so I posted the top speed settings also, I'll see if I can get her to go faster, But I really dont think its posible, maybe a few points, but nothing substancial.

The ford Gt LM spec II runs like a dream and like it should have man lol I dont know what kaz was thinking when he put that car in there but the handling and braking on that car used to suck big time and now its running like it should. Sheesh if the ford GT is one of kaz's favorite cars then why does it suck so badly in stock settings?! lol! anyway the car handles real smooth although im dissapointed in the speed it has for a le mans car I guess that cant be helped.

No Prob, Glad they Helped, I also was disapointed wit the top speed, I can get her to top out faster and will post a set up for top speed once I get her as fast as I think I can get her, but when you get a really fast top speed your acceleration suffers, and there are not to many races where you hit full speed, so having a better 0-1000 is better then having a high top speed, for most races with lots of turns, but keep a eye out for the Top Speed set up for the LM Spec 2. And the GT 05 topped out at 284.27mph, not too bad (those settings are already posted).

You dial in an AWFUL lot of camber, it seems to me. This wouldn't overly concern me, but I fear this might tend to lead to increased tire wear on longer races?

I'll have to try out the settings and see if my impressions are correct?

I like these, just the suspension has too much oversteer. I drove the 05 Ford GT on Seatle , and boy is it better! It just spins out every once in a while, so I may the suspension a little harder!

I keep her a little loose so I can get better exiting speeds, tightining her up, does make her easyer to handle, but at the cost of speed, I try to keep the settings controlable, but a little unstable (Like a fighter jet) so I can get MAXIMUM cornering speeds (but they are just a starting point as you say, everybody has diferent driving styles, so the settings can always be adapted), Glad you like them.
 
Hi, I've been looking for GT settings for a while now and the settings you gave are pretty good. However, the GT understeers a fair bit on some corners, so have adapted them for you. Try these out and let me know. They are only slight changes, but try them anyway. Note: For best results, disarm the TCS and ASM.

Ford GT 05

Suspension:

I just used your suspension settings, as I don't have all of the other parts yet for my GT, they made about a 1 sec / lap difference on Midfield Raceway for me. That combined with the better manageability of the car as a whole was just what I needed for the supercar festival. Thanks!

DUDE! Great settings. BIG improvement in 05 GT for me. I love this car but the handling still disapoints me. Your settings help but I still cant control the back end too well. What other setting do you have? 👍 👍 👍
 
i tried out the LM II settings.

tried it on nurburgring and it runs like poetry.

i'll try out the other settings once i get my game back.

good job on the LM settings, though. A+ :)

I got nuff cars fully Tuned with Settings posted, including a Minolta set up going 333mph (With No cheats [codebreaker, or Gameshark], the settings will make you go that fast)
