Thought my fellow drifters might enjoy seeing my DFP set up. I have the arcade stick next to me to allow me to use the joystick as my ebrake or as my shifting. It certainly makes for a more authenic driving position and feeling. The laptop sits next to me so I can surf GTPlanet on my wireless connection :) 👍

nice set-up so is that your shifter that arcade thingy, you should get a frex shifter just like a real car has 8 gears and stuff

If the frex H-shifter worked with GT4 it would be in this picture, but it doesn't. The joystick is the best I can do, it has 8 directions and centers itself, so I can wiggle it around and simulated the neutral position wiggle like a real shifter. keke 👍

I bought mine from ebay for 299 plus I think it was a 30 dollar extra for shipping. So total was $ 330 dollars. The laptop is provide free from work :) And the joystick is from the Street Fighter Anniversary Edition Arcade Stick.

I just got my DFP 2 days ago, and while its fun having it clamped to my desk, im definitely investing in some kind of cockpit as well as better pedals.

A setup like that looks perfect. Seems to be quite compact.

PS. How did you rig the joystick as the shifter?? I have a Hori Real Arcade Pro that would work great.

Hori Japanese Arcade sticks are the best arcade sticks...nice work! To rig the joystick as the shifter or as the ebrake you plug in the joystick to player ones port and go into Options and configure the DS2 button mapping. You can only work with the up and down directions on the stick. So you can map the shifting / ebrake to one of these two directions on your joystick.

I've taken apart the Street Fighter Arcade Stick and it is very basic wiring. I am going to try and rerig it up so I can use all four directions of the stick. That why I'll have shifting (2), Reverse (1), and ebrake (1) all on the sticks four directions.

i want these setups but lol its to expensive for me im gonna build by own sumtime i got a curret setup with the tv on a desk and my dfp clamped like 2 inches awy from the tv so its right in my face lol

Damnn...How much did you pay for the cockpit? Did you build it extra with the seat...or did you buy it like that? And you use the joystick how and why?

I paided 299 plus I think 25 more for shipping from Cali. I bought mine from ebay. The seat is part of the package. I use the joystick's directional buttons for my ebrake handle. Sometimes I'll use it for shifting too. Its plugged into the ds2 slot on the ps2 and you just have to configure the ds2 buttons in options to custimize the way you want it.

THAT'S ******* AWESOME!

Sweet setup! I was wondering if the playseat collapses for storage, as i dont want to always have a cockpit in the middle of my living room. Also, i dont really see where the pedals would clamp down. how do you secure the pedals to the setup? i dont want to have to zip tie my pedals to the frame. One more question. With the Stick set up as your E-brake, do you find you have much more control over the pressure of the e-brake? it seems that i cant hit the ebrake BUTTON softly, so i always lock up hardcore. Does the stick help with e-brake sensitivity?
