The "black beauties"(used car lot I & II, day 694-700) are the "best" because they are fast and you can buy all four for less than the price of two new ones!

But that's Group C, for touring/LM cars I'd go with the Mazda RX-8 concept LM race car '01 (win it at the mazda manufacturers event, RX-8 cup)

well for what class? for CLASS C i would choose the 8 wich you can buy for 4.5 million, or win it in one of the Le Mans 24hr Enduros, or the C60 wich you can buy in France for 4.5 million. for LM i would choose the Ford GT LM Race Car wic you get after the Professional Hall. for JGTC i would go with any of the NSX, or Supra's would do good, wich you can buy for a lil over 1 mill in the Toyota and Nissan dealership.

Just wanted to know what the best value race car that i can buy or win easily.
Minolta 88C-V that you win in the El Capitan Endurance. Even stock, it'll beat anything else, and with the stage 4 turbo, it'll kill anything else.

A modified supercar can fairly easily win the endurance.

Now let's not encourage that sort of racing :)

You can win that race in an unmodified Motorsport Elise quite easily, its also not that hard with the Aussie cars.

I had a lot of success with the Nissan R92CP. It works better than the Toyota 88C for me. They are both great cars, so maybe I just found a better suspension tuning on the Nissan.

Of all the Group C cars, those are my favorites when I really need to win (i.e., build up cash).

Actually, the Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car you win from the 3 Silver Arrows races is far more versatile:

• Easy to win.
• Easy to drive (like a car, not a flying saucer).
• Allows you to collect/win lots of credits.
• You can enter it in far more races than the Minolta 88CV.

Shelby Supercharged would be my pick.

Reasonable cheap and you can win plenty of edurance races with it (like 'Ring 24h, El Capitan). Handling of it is very good and you can drive agains stronger opponents with it as well.

I support the AMG Mercedes CLK GTR Race Car for the same reasons as mentioned ^^.
You are winning/selling so many of them for easy money that in the end you ought keep at least one and give a try. 👍

If you can figure out how to drive it successfully (which takes practice), the Chaparal 2J is a very good value race car. Granted, it's probably a little too good, but whatever. It's fast, good with tires and good with fuel.
If you can figure out how to drive it all, the Gillet Vertigo is similar in spec. Nowhere near as good, but still mathematically equal in value. It does require a new set-up for each race though.
Any newer DTM car (or the Alfa 155) will clean up any race with BHP in the 300-700 range (especially the JGTC cars), as will the S2000 LM and the Tommy kiara ZZ-II (though it's not really a race car per se).

THAT IS CLASS C if you look at my post.

I haven't seen this thread, so I wasn't able to correct you on this one: The Audi R8, Pescarolo C60 etc are not Group C cars, those are LMP cars. Cars like the Nissan R89C, R92CP and the Minolta are Group C class cars.

For more information check this thread: Click

Btw, I partly agree with flat-out. Yes, the CLK-GTR is good enough to win races, but in my GTWC experience I found out that the car was still too good for the other LMP/Group C cars. An other suggestion for GTWC is the Toyota 7 (it has less tire wear than the CLK-GTR, so it's even faster).

I haven't tried it yet, but maybe it's also possible in the McLaren F1 and the Panoz (never thought about the Panoz before in GT4, I don't have the money for it yet, but if I have I surely try it). The reson I think the 2 cars can win it, is because I only was 1.5 seconds slower than the opposition with the Zonda LM race car. That means it would be very interesting what the suggested cars can do.

I searched 'race car' but there wern't any on which is the best bang for the buck...

I've been saving for a pesci (4.5million) but the mazda race car (3.5 million) has caught my eye... I'm got 4million, and could get the extra 500k easily, Which car is better for the money? I've also read that the pesci is the key to the game, can someone explain please, as its HP isn't massivly high, nor is its tourque...

Though, after reading some other threads, it turns out the pesci has 800bhp, and the dealer stats are wrong... So i'm saving the extra 500k for the pesci.

Searched race car!

I just went back a page and got the "Best Value Race Car" thread. :P

Merged the two threads so there wouldn't be a closure. 👍

Good luck in your search for "the best bang for the buck" race car.

If I could make a suggestion... Instead of the 4.5 million dollar pescarolo, I suggest the Audi R8.
Same type of car only much better than either of the Pescarolos in my opinion. :D

but you can win the R8 using the 787B EASLY then you got 2 more cars and ome extra cash.

The Pagani Zonda Race Car is pretty good. You can win it by beating all 4 slipstream battles in mission mode.
The Cadillac Cien can be won in the easy difficulty Citta di Aria rally.
