GAR! Problems entering World Championship

I'm having some problems with the GT World Championship in Professional League, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problems.

I've done EVERYTHING in the Beginner and Pro league. Everything. I've double and triple checked it all. But when I go to the world championship, it says I still have to complete everything. Is there something I'm missing, or do you think it could be a glitch in the game? I've checked for it as a glitch and can't find anything.

GRRRRR! I'm sooooo mad because I can't compete in extreme events until I finish this!

Any help/colsolation appreciated.
 
Ok Saleen_savvy, you need to get Search savvy too! ;)
It's been asked 100s of times already. Go search for GTWC. You'll find what you're after. 👍
You have to complete every race, and every championship GOLD
If you've just won the races, but not the championship, then it's a no go.
Also bronzes can look like golds so find which race you didn't win, and re-do it. :)

So far this has worked for everyone that's asked this question, they usually come back with :dunce: "Yeah, I missed one, thanks!" And hopefully you will too. (but the dunce hat isn't compulsory! :lol: )

As a side note, and since you're a newbie, I'm not going to flame you for it :) , but this is the race reports forum. There's a stickied thread at the top of the board that tells you what sor of thing to post here.
A question like this belongs on the main GT4 board and will get much better exposure there. You can use the adminstrative options in the bottom right corner to move it over there, or I'm sure it'll get moved by a moderator pretty soon anyway.

Welcome to GTP and remember to watch where you're posting, and search before you ask! I highly recommend looking over the "Look Here Before You Ask - Many FAQs" thread, at the top of the GT4 board.

Aside from Smallhorses, welcome to GTP, but yes you should use the search function, if i remember rightly it comes up right before you make your first few threads.

Aside from that, I swear, I think my game has a bug. I checked everything, re-checked it, and even played through the races over in B-spec just to make sure they were all golds. EVERYTHING. And it still won't let me in.

My game was an early version, so it's to be expected. But it makes me so mad! I was so far along! I think I'm gonna rent a version of it and see what happens, but I'm convinced it's a bug.
 
Check your diary. I'd lay odds that there's a championship you haven't won. Make sure you can account for all of your prize cars and match them to the Prize Car List on this site.
 
I'm totally serious, I did. I went through EVERYTHING. I played it over. Thing is, my disk also has the red spinning thing problem, and it can take a few minutes to load a race.

I even turned up the colors on my TV to detect anything non-gold. Absolutely nothing.

There is no other version of GT4 mate, there is only 1. The copy I brought on day 1 of its release at 7AM is the exact verison as the one you'll buy again today, unless something has been changed, but I have not read anywhere that there has been.

Also like others said there is no bug mate, it's always a gold thats a bronze, or a championship not done(races done singly).
 
Have you done the series races as a series or just done every event as single races only so far?

Like everyone has said, every single time this has come up, it's been a missed gold or a series not done properly, theres no known bug there.
 
It really isn't a bug.

What version do you have? NTSC/Asia (Japan, China, Hong Kong), NTSC/US (North America) or PAL (Rest of the World)?
 
I swear that it is.

I'll even take a picture of the screen when I get home, because they're all gold. I swear they are. I've checked EVERYTHING! It's insane.

And I have the North American version.

ok, there is one very common mistake. Some events are single races and some are championships. It is possible to win individual races for that event but you have to win the chapionship to get the prize car and count that event as done.
So again - go into all events to check that you have gold cup for the chapionships (not just all races)

P.S. - if you post pictures of:

Tuning Car GP (detailed view once you enter)
World Classic Car (detailed view once you enter)
World Compact Car (detailed view once you enter)

Then I'm gonna believe that you have a bug.

I have the same one and all I need to do is complete the frormula GT(I didnt wait at the store till 7am though)
 
Like Famine said 2 weeks ago, use the diary!!!!!!

These pictures are useless because A, they don't load, and B, the Gold and Bronze look too much alike on TV, much less in a picture of a TV.

On your Home screen, click the diary, and go back through your event lists. It stamps events and championships you win. Make sure EVERY EVENT has at least one first place trophy stamp. If you win a championship series but placed third in one of the events, you have to go back and enter (and win) that event individually. The third place bronze trophy will look almost exactly like a first place gold trophy on most TVs.

And to reiterate again repeatedly to the point of excessive redundancy: If you enter all the races and win them, but don't enter and win the series (if it's a series championship, and some aren't) then you aren't complete. If the series is available, you have to win it. If you win a series but not all the races you aren't complete. And if you find a third instead of a 1st, you aren't complete. Don't use the trophy pictures, use the diary.

On the screens you pictured, pick one of the series and go into it. If there's a championship at the beginning of the list of races, and it has no gold trophy, then you have to enter and win the series. Winning all the races separately does not win the series. You have to enter the series by putting the pointer on that series circle, score points for each race finish, and end with more points after all the races than any opponent. You get the same opponents in every race of a series. Those trophies are not shown on the screens you tried to picture for us. I think the ones you specifically need to look at are the Tuning Car Grand Prix, the World Classic Car Series, and the World Compact Car Race. I looked at Famine's GTModeRaces Excel sheet the look for which events had series as well as individual race championships, found as Race Database in the "Look before you ask" stickie.

Do you have a MAX Drive? If so, save a copy of your game to it, copy it onto your PC and post it here. :)
I, or one of the other USA based GTPlaneteers could then download it and try to figure out why you're having the problems that you are.👍
