Hey all, new guy here, old GT fan. I just got my Logitech Driving Force Pro, but it doesn't have the GT Badge on the center of the steering wheel? It has a crappy Logitech one instead.

That sucks, does anyone know if there is anyway to get a replacement one for it?

Thanks for the help.

Hey mate, I am the creator of that other thread. I contacted Logitec a couple times to see if I could talk different employees into sending me one on the house but it is considered a non-warentee part (meaning they want like 30 CAD plus shipping to have a GT logo. So for 2 USD plus shipping, I got an authentic Nissan badge that fits perfectly over the centercap, stickey as hell. All I needed to to was Sharpie over the showing logo and you could never tell it was there :D!!

I talked to Logitech, they told me they could not even get me the part no matter how much money I was willing to pay.

So I returned it, but Costcentral.com is giving me a problem returning it and is going to charge me 15% restocking fee.
Eventhough those A$$holes have the GT logo wheel pictured on there website ad. I toild them I did not get what was pictured on the ad and they just said, oh well.
Stay away from Costcentral.com

Logitech.com also has the GT logo wheel pictured on there website. They told me it was random which one you would get if you ordered from them. That is False advertising.

I ended up going to the local GameStop and they had the GT logo wheel brand new for $75, out the door.

The lessons to be learned here:
- avoid buying stuff off the internet at all costs.
- when buying a DFP wheel find out what is pictured on the box, the correct logo will be pictured on the box, so you don't have to guess what is inside.

I know I can quote Forrest Gump on this one... but... meh:dopey:

Well it does suck when these things happen. I asked someone from Logitech what's up with that. He says it's like buying an action figure. You're gonna see different shades of the figure's colors than the ones on the box. Then they're gonna point you to the fine print stating that the actual figure and the picture on the box (or website...) may vary. :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:
SUCKS! Oh well... Anyway, no one's buying the wheel for the aesthetics. It's still the wheel's features itself which is the major draw. But it still isn't really fair...

I was saying that the box will actually show which wheel is in it. The Logitech logo wheel I recieved had a Logitech logo wheel pictured on the outside of the box. So when your in the store, you know what your buying before hand.

I'm happy now, I've got a GT logo and I even popped on an old Stainless steel shift knob I had.

thereis one concept that escapes me... does the wheel actually not work, or you're just being a pain because it doens't have the GT logo?

For me the wheel works fine, like anyother DFP obviously. Look at it this way, its like buying a Momo, Sparco or Nardi steering wheel but its doesnt have a logo on the centercap, the GT logo obviously looks more appealing, are you saying if you had the chance to pick a GT or a Logitech (or "Logicool") logoed DFP you wouldn't care? I think not...

I'm sure both wheels work the same, but for how much it costs I want the GT version wheel because that's the only game I use it for and its a sweet logo. Plus I had already been using a friends that looked like that one.

The shift lever and knob come out easily with a long screw in the bottom. You can put what ever shift knob you want on there, metal gives it a nice weight, took about 10 minutes.

Now the new G25 wheel, that is nice! That's much better. I'm going to have that, the wheel looks awesome and the 6 speed and clutch. Can't wait to see what the pedals look like.

There is one thing the DFP has which the G25 doesn't though... The GT badge!! :D :D :D

But it is a very cool wheel! I'm waiting for a news on it's compatibility with the PS3 or GT5 before I say good bye to my DFP.👍 👍

I've posted on the other tread. Yesterday I got the DFP as a present with the GT logo on the wheel, yet ironically the wheel printed on the box is with the Logitech logo, so you cannot be sure what you're going to get unless you open it and check it out physically.

Personally it doesn't make much of a difference - it's the same wheel afterall. But if I was promised a GT edition DFP and get a logitech one instead? I get pissed off. It's nice to have a wheel specifically for GT4 - it seems to integrate more with the simulator in my opinion.

PS: just for the record, after 10 laps with a honda s2000 stock in tsukuba i'm getting around +.300 slower than driving with my DS2. I think it's because I have to shift the gear much more different than the gamepad (from the shoulder buttons to reaching the lever stick on the right).

(The bolding made by me) No you don't, my wheel came in a box with a Logitech logo and I was initially a bit disappointed because I would have liked a GT logo... but I thought that I don't really care, as long as the wheel works. And then I opened the box and found a GT badged wheel in it, a moment of happiness!

Same the reaction experienced by me lol.

Oh well, guess I was wrong about the box, Logitech has all kind of randomness going on there.

BTW I demoed the G25 wheel at E3 yesterday. They had 2 set up in a mini F1 arcade style car body with a 3 monitor display. They had the stick unit mounted a little off to the right.

The wheel was every thing it should be, the paddle shifters are thick and heavy, they feel great. Wheel felt great, the size was perfect.

Only problem was the shifter. I was using the 6 speed, and the stick itself was crazy wobbly and lose, you could easily mistakenly shift from first to sixth because there was so much extra play in the stick and shift gate. It could have been broken, I didn't get a chance to try the other one, but something to look out for.

Oh, and I tried to use the clutch pedal, but it was to difficult to think and use it at the same time at speed. Using the clutch pedal is going to add a whole new degree of realistic difficulty for the hardcore.

It's called Limited Edition bud.

Look up Logitech's Wheel history. They do this all the time.
The Momo they offer now used to be a red color, now it's a black.

Expect them to do this with the new G25 wheel too.
