Race Car to buy

I want to buy a new car in gt4, but I don't know exactly what I should get. I want to get a race car, but I cant find any that I can actually buy. I dont want a rally car either.
 
For what race exactly? You need to be more specific. ANd you'll also find that the search would turn up alot of results for this kind of thing.

Im not looking for any race in particular, I just want a cool fast car. People keep talking about f1's, where can I get one of these? I did search, and found that the Toyota 88C-V Race Car is a good car, but cant find where to buy it.
 
Like Benny456 said, you need to be more specific. Do you want a car that is all about speed or a car that handles good? Do you want a car that eats tires or saves tires? Do you want a gaz guzzling race car or an economical race car? Do you want 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 cylinder engine?
 
There are a lot of "which car should I buy?" threads floating around. Please SEARCH before posting a new thread.

Also, you end up winning quite a few race cars as prizes for other races, so if you buy one you might just be wasting your money. For example, you can win the BMW M3 GTR race car by winning the Schwarzwald Liga A race in the European hall, and that race can be pretty easily won using a medium-power European sports car (such as a BMW Z4, an Opel Speedster, or an Audi S3).

Ok thanks for all your help, I just started playing too. Right now I have a 960 hp Dodge viper, so do you think I could win the stars and stripes comp.?

Check our Car Lists (click on the one for your region - Japan, US/Canada or "everywhere else") - you'll find every car in the game listed, along with details on where/how to buy or win it.

The F1 is win only. The Toyota Minolta is win only. That's why you can't find them to buy them

Also, if you want to know if a certain car will win a race, experiment yourself, or even look in a thread that people have given feedback of what's worked in that race already. Another alternative is even posting in the General GT4 Discussion and Questions thread.

This forum is starting to be boring now...Everybody is just asking the same questions over and over again."What car should I buy?", "Is the Skyline or Supra faster?", "Which black beauty is the best?"...blah blah blah. People stop posting all these boring questions.

JGTC = Japan Grand Touring Championship. Most of these cars are 1.35Mcr. They're basically Japanese equivalents to the European touring cars. They have around 500 hp, lots and lots of downforce, and racing tires.

Just so you know, I never actually bought one. I won one, somewhere along the line. That's always preferable. Let me see if I can figure out how you can win one easily...

Well, there are a few different kinds of race cars. All of them are mucho expensive so it's best to save your money and win them instead of just buying them outright. But you can always buy them if you'd like. You've got rally cars, touring cars, JGTC cars, and the ultra powerful LM (Le Mans) Group C race cars.

One easy JGTC win is the Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car. As long as you're patient, you can do this. It involves doing Tsukuba Circuit in a Miata for four hours. B-spec it with a maxed out Miata (Sports Hard tires) and you should easily win. Rally cars can be won in the Special Conditions hall. Winning the Japan Championship in the Japanese events hall will net you the Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car, another great racer. And if you can get to 50% completion, you'll receive a Jaguar XJR-9 Group C race car.
 
Go to the Honda, nissan, Toyota Dealers. They should be NSXs, Skylines, and Supras. Nissan also has a 350z but its a prize car. I recomend the Supra, but the 350z is the best in my opinion. Btw these are GT500 class cars. I dont know much about GT300

They're all on the list - in this case the cars are named, in the game, as xxxxxx xxxxxxx (JGTC) 'xx (like... Xanavi Hiroto Skyline (JGTC) '03 ).

Quick way would be to go to the car lists and use your browser's search function to search for "JGTC" rather then sifting manually - though I appreciate you made the effort to search.
 
A really nice race car that you win by winning the Japan Championship is the Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race car. It's really useful for most championships, endurance races, and some of the Special Conditions Events. If you win it but don't want it, sell it and I'd say either buy a Ford GT and modify the heck out of it (or keep it stock-- both are great), or buy an ABT Audi TT-R Touring Car for 550,000Cr. Both perform excellently, but the 350Z LM has more power, and a higher resale value. The ABT Audi has slightly better handling, and can be used in a few more races (I think :confused:). Another option could be to buy Prima's game guide for GT$, it lists all of the prize cars for each event, all of the cars in the game and has some tuning, license, and track tips too.
 
Yea I won the Nissan 350z Concept LM Race car, and I think I'm going to sell it. I have the Tom Woodone Supra, the BMW GTR race car, and now I just want money. Can I keep repeating the Japan Championship races to keep winning the 350z LM?
 
Yes, you can. When you enter, it will give you an option to clear all of the championship progress. When you do, you can do it again and again and keep winning the same car.

I think www.google.com is your best answer here. :P

It's a 24 hour race that happens every year, held in a place called Le Mans, France. There are quite a few cars in GT4 that are Le Mans racers.
