Limited Edition Silver Slimline PS2 & Silver Controller

I didn't even hear anything about this, but I was at Target yesterday and they had a bunch of them for only $130, so I picked one up. I really like the silver finish, and hope they offer the same finish for the PS3, as I really do not like that highly reflective piano black finish that the early demo models have been shown with. I know the first promos for the PS3 showed a silver model, but since then it seems it has gone AWOL.

Well, at least you got one. I saw them stacked up high at Best Buy - they were at 134.99 CDN. I would've though they'll fly off the shelves, but seems not many people know the significance of a different colored design. I want one of those!

Last I heard, the white and silver PS3s will be available later, once demand dies down. Launch models will all be black. They are doing it to simplify things in the beginning, so there aren't six different PS3s.

They first had grey with the PSX, and then when PS2 hit stores, black was the new favour. So I think it's safe to say white deserves a place in Sony's Playstation lineup.

Heck, by the time the alternative colours are released my Playstation 3 is likely to be screwed over anyway.

Silver's nice and all, but when I bought my PSTwo(slim), I was really hoping for a white one. I thought I heard that Famine has a white PS2(regular).

For the PS3, I'd like to see a Gran Turismo Edition, white PS3. Yeah, that will happen.

I've had one for about a year now. Since everything else in my computer room/PS2 room/office is black and silver, it goes with its black NTSC/J sister quite well...

I've had one since beginning of the year...surprised you've only heard of it beginning of the month. That said, after the silver brick PS2 we all knew it was coming.... I still want an aqua one >->
