Not being at my Playstation right now, isn't Tourist Trophy only a 3 race championship?

Anyways, I'd have to say 1000 miles, by far (and, by association, World Classic Car Race). It can be boring because of the wide gap in power the cars entereable by the A.I. have, but it still offers stupid old fun, reminiscent of the Targa Floria or something. Though I dislike any race at Manacco, the cars being used kinda makes up for it.
Wish it allowed cars up to 1975 useable, though.
As an honourable mention, the JGTC championship is fun in the amount of cars that are competitive in it.

My bad. Thanks for the heads up. If you see any other oversights, please let me know and I'll fix them.

Couldn't agree more. As a nice bonus, I like how it has such a wide diversity of classic cars that both the AI and the player can use in that event. More so than many events in GT4, and certainly more than any other current GT style game. 👍👍

Pan Euro
Polyphony Digital Cup (although it takes a lot of searching to find a good fun car and lineup combination to race here :grumpy: )
1000 miles!
and GT World Championship

the 2HP-2CV Champ, just for the hilarity of it, great prize car to.

sorry for the 'text talk' in the original post, all better now :)

the 2HP-2CV Champ, just for the hilarity of it, gr8 prize car to.

Dragonistic

Please read the PM I sent you in regard to the use of 'text' talk here at GT Planet, "gr8" is simply not acceptable, the AUP is quite clear on this.

AUP

You have now been asked twice to stop doing this, both requests have been polite and carried no punitive action against you, that will not be the case in the future.

Stop with the text talk - NOW.

My favorite series for a number of reasons would be the Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft for a number of reasons.

First of all, I love driving the German (and the Alfa) touring cars. Too bad the BMW M3 GTR race car isn't legal here.

The DTM is one of the few series where every eligible car can win; perhaps the only championship series not counting one-make races.

And, of course, the pay is good.

I'd like the European and World Classic series a lot better if it weren't such a pain getting a decent, balanced lineup.

All American Championship -- closest thing we have to an ALMS series. Too bad we don't have Daytona and Sebring to race on.

1000 Miles! -- comes closest to capturing the flavor of the old Mille Miglia; if it were possible to have a short race on Citta di Aria included it would be nearly perfect.

BMW Club 'M" -- just plain fun.

Pan Euro and British GT Series, also good.

World champoinship and GT all stars. Its all about true racing and true race cars; and both events feature the best looking and fastest race cars ever made.:sly:

I've wished that many times!

It seems like it's always a race with the dang AC Cobra and nobody else at the World Classic. :banghead:

I've wished this many times too! But of course a couple years ago I was wishing for the real Le Mans and we got that so there's hope 👍

Great summations!

... but you need to vote in the poll to make them truly count. :)

DTM for me :)

I have always loved watching the small snippets we get in Australia of the current series and the old ETC

cheers

Subaru Stars of pleiades. I just love doing this one with one of those older, first STi impreza's. Definatly better then 1pt races.

Cool thread, I voted for JGTC, DTM, Lotus Elise, and Renault Clio V6 races, as they are very fun to do over and over. :) I can't stop driving my stock Supra JGTC, modified clios, elises, and the DTM, it's fun since you have to watch for tire wear when you are using a 4WD DTM. :scared: I had god memories using a road car to win the JGTC championship...

I forgot to click Peugeot 206 and 1000 Miles, because they are the most enjoyable races IMO.

i voted for DTM and 1000 miles since i love racing my toyota 2000gt against older cars. I picked DTM because i love the tracks in the series combined with european touring cars.

European Event: Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft and Japanese Event: All Japan GT Championship. I enjoyed them the most!

1000 miles the most beautifull series of races

Definitely. To see such cars, normally preserved in museums today, in their prime as racers in their own series really can reach into the soul.

As Toronado and Digital-Nitrate had said, it is reminiscent of the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio, and almost the same distance, too.

The series captures the essence of 50s-60s auto racing, with longer races held with beautiful cars, unburdened by smog equipment, crash bumpers, and tacky exterior add-ons (with the occasional musclecar disputing this). Any car can enter and be competitive, but the big names usually come out on top. These times were the age of style and sensuality among cars, such as the Jaguar E-Type and the Toyota 2000GT...

It was off-topic, but that was the reason for my vote.

+REP for truly capturing the beauty of that race series and what makes it so great to participate in, and even take the time to watch the replay afterwards to enjoy seeing the competitor's cars. 👍👍

Japanese. Compact Cup, because i entered with a Toyota 7 haha

GT world Championship was fun to play on, the prize car wasn't worth my time IMO.

GT All stars was the best, everyone driving LeMans, I like. and the Ring in particular was challenging for me
