I was looking for an enjoyable race so....

First a point of credit given to Mustang-man. His info on this race gave me some insight.

I took the Lancer Evolution VI GSR, added Super slicks and an Oil change.

Set the ASM = 4; TCS = 1.

The lead changed hands 8 times in the first 22 laps. I took the lead on lap 22, lost it on Lap 25 due to dropping time in the pit. I regained it on 32, and lost it when I pitted on Lap 37. I regained it again on Lap 44. Held it for the remainder of the race. The closest 2nd place managed after this point was 9.5XX seconds.

Side Bar: Lap 58 was a 1’41.000, Interesting.

As an additional adventure in this race, I began to take advantage of drifting into the tight corners. By kicking the tail out slightly just as I entered the corner, I was able to exit at a much higher speed. Gained considerable time on the AI, as they brake into the corner and slide wide coming out. Often bumping the wall.

Final standings:

Me: 71 laps
Mazda RX-7 Type RZ(J): 71 laps (31+ seconds behind me)
Supra RZ(J): 71 laps
Impreza WRX STI(J): 69 laps
Skyline GT-R Vspec II (R32, J): 68 Laps
Lancer Evolution VII(J): 68 laps

AI Pitted on laps: 23, 46, 69
I pitted on laps: 12, 24, 37, 49 (27.152sec lead) and 61 (32.371sec lead).

Best Lap: 1’38.466
Total Time: 120’37.264
Average Lap: 1’41.933

I encountered Lap Traffic on Lap: 21

This netted me 150,000cr and the Mine’s skyline.

Hrrrm, interesting writeup. I just won the blue R32 Skyline from the Beginners GT championship. I was going to beef it up but maybe I'll just run this Enduro instead, and hopefully win the Skyline racer.

I have a question tho: if you were running Super Slicks, how did the AI manage to get almost twice the tire wear you did?

I've got an Evo VI RS that is quite quick for a street car. I won the both Trial Mountain races against the rally cars in the series, but when I ran it as a single race there was a Silvia race car on the pole that I just couldn't touch...

I couldn't figure out how the AI managed that many laps on one set of tires. Although the Supra pitted a few more times than I did, it kept pace with me and the RX-7. Often times the lead swapped between the three of us. The other racers seemed to pit every 9-10 laps.

I've got good info that the Camaro SS and the Mustang SVT are both quite capable of taking this race. I wouldn't doubt that the Skyline could do it as well. Best o' luck to you.

I ran the same Lancer in the Beginner Evo Meeting. Managing a 1.582 sec win at Laguna, a 1.429 sec win at Trial Mtn., and a 1.005 win at Midfield II.

Nice little cars we'll see how it fairs through out the game.

In some races Im guessing on random casses the AI driver that is in the lead just seems to go on forever on the first set of tires and pits normally after that. Its happened to me a few times but I always try to do the same so im not to far back, then I out last the AI drivers on the next pit stop and never look back.
